  1. Yorkie, Nixon - No problem. Arrange a place that's easy to get to and I'll pop along for you.
  2. Should be able to give three people a lift from town. Also got a mate who might be interested, okay for him to pop down?
  3. Sunderland, Man City and Liverpool.

    NUFC Songbook

Just remembered about the "Tim-Timity" song that got an airing against Man City. Cracking effort, really hope it catches on (mainly so I can remember the rest of it).

    De Jong

Did that go over everyone's head? I was only yanking your chain.

    De Jong

cuts both ways to be fair, shearer/lennon. errr. what?? surely the way the fa treat shearer was as much cheating as ignoring this ? are we talking about his accidental boot in lennons face? exactly, we all know it wasn't an accident. Do we. Come off it mate, I'm fairly sure 99.9% of people know it wasn't accidental. Still not sure how Lennon got away with it though, should have got at least three games for headbutting Shearer's foot.

    De Jong

I'd rank de Jong's assault in the World Cup Final alongside that too.
  10. I don't like using words like that but sometimes it feels like the only thing that can be said about a performance. Atkinson was looking right at the Lescott tackle on Shola during the game on Sunday with nobody obstructing his view, yet he decided to tell Shola to get up off the floor which is utter bollocks.

    De Jong

There are still people who believe there was nothing wrong with this challenge and it was completely fair - it's unbelievable. Apparently by touching the ball first, whatever happens next is irrelevant. As for Calderwood, dear me.
  12. It seems Simpson has suddenly become a much better player whilst he's been out injured.

Followed up with: What a fucking moron.

Just nearly fallen off my chair after reading this post from a Man City fan:

Still can't quite come to terms with this. I'm absolutely devastated for Hatem.
  16. We could easily have been 2-0 up too.
  17. Fucking hell, some people really do go out of their way just to have a go at our own players. Agreed, that post reached almost Kevin Nolan-esque levels of shitness.
  18. What work's in the championship doesn't necessarily work in the Premiership. Agreed, but it never seems a good idea to mess around with your biggest strength first. Also, it was never given a fair chance to work in the Premiership, Hughton is just attached to Nolan for some reason. I'm sure they played together quite a bit in the season we went down. Wish people would stop saying stuff like this. Coloccini was a useless t*** in the Prem, he's now arguably our best performer this season. Carroll is on the verge of an England call-up. Enrique has turned into God over the last year. etc etc. Lots has changed in 2 years, to keep linking back to that relegation season is a bit misguided because it's mostly irrelevant. saying players are good after a few games back in the premiership is misguided. So referring to how they performed in our relegation season isn't? José was still learning in this country. It was Jonas' first seasons in England. As they've also being involved in the discussion, it was also Coloccini's first season in England plus Carroll was still only a teen. Are you seriously suggesting that they haven't improved as players? That's the way it comes across.

    U23s & Academy

He sounds very highly rated, just like Vuckic. I'm sure Haris signed a contract of similar length and rightly so too.
  20. He got stick mainly because he didn't take off Nolan, who was the most ineffective player on the pitch yesterday. Yeah, but he very nearly grabbed us a goal. The same people would have been jumping for joy if that had gone in. Fair enough he missed, but it's not like Tiote would have realistically been in a scoring position. This is the issue with Nolan though. It's all well and good getting into these positions, but he isn't finishing them.
  21. Fev have been the best team in the competition by a mile all season. Just two weeks ago in the Qualifying Semi against the same opposition, Fev covered -8 that day and they should do it again today.
