Was at the forefront of everything his team did and seems to have a canny freekick/corner on him. His brother wasn't too bad either. I don't think there'd be any harm in signing his brother, read a lot of good reports about him and it'd keep Haris happy too.

Didn't play too badly tonight, just lacked a quality final ball and the movement still isn't brilliant. Jonas didn't look at all interested. LuaLua was the stand out performer, looked dangerous when he had the ball at his feet. Guthrie was horrific though and Coloccini wasn't much better. The Beye incident was quite interesting. He went toe-to-toe with the Huddersfield player (think it was Clarke?), words were said then Clarke ran off back towards the halfway line with Beye chasing after him. The ref blew for half time and Beye, along with Taylor, tried to explain something to him, pointing at Clarke. Beye then chased after Clarke again and with that it turned into a melee. Beye had to be restrained several times but he kept fighting everybody off him in order to get to Clarke. I've never seen Beye like that before, he looked absolutely furious. I'm still in shock about Huddersfield bullshitting about how many fans we had there too. They announced it as somewhere in the region of 1,600 (can't remember the exact amount). We easily had 2,500+ there, probably more towards 3,000.

Hope it's true. Sack Barton, Duff, Smith and Butt for breaking curfew. Then give Beye a new contract for leading them astray in order to kick them out of the club.

If he plays like he did against Shamrock, we're in for a long season.

Been thinking about this a lot earlier. Theoretically, couldn't Shearer approach Ashley and offer to become our temporary manager, without pay, until we're sold? I'm sure he could go without being paid for a few weeks. It also would bring so many benefits, not only to the club but it would work in his favour too. For example: Shearer starts work tomorrow. The players are happier because they've now got some direction and a figure who the vast majority want in charge, which should also persuade the likes of Taylor and Beye to stay at the club. Potential new owners are happier because at least the playing side of the club is now being looked after properly. This then looks good on Shearer's part (rolling his sleeves up and working for free to help the club out when things are really looking grim), putting him well and truly in the new owners' thoughts of who to appoint permanently. Is it really that far-fetched?

Why would they be asking to leave though? It wouldn't be down to relegation, it'd be down to him being a complete cunt and pissing around with the sale of the club.
