So you think our wage bill is sustainable? Or you think the new owner(s) should be in charge of reducing the wage bill? He's right about what he said, especially about the income. It takes a massive hit and we need to find a way to ease the blow. Selling players, which brings in a transfer fee and also gets them off the wage bill, is one way of doing that. And they've only just figured all this out, right? Maybe they expected a deal to have been completed by now? It hasn't, so now they're trying to make us a little more appealing?

Such as? I didn't listen to it all. He explained why Martins went which sounded about right - the income looks good to the potential new owner(s) and also a large amount of money off the wage bill. Expects others to leave by the end of the month but also said he expects some to come in too.

Thought what he said was quite positive to be honest. He obviously can't say too much but he did give some decent information.
-
It won't be that team, but I'd love it to be.

It says on .com that the game is now sold out.
-
Really starting to look forward to this now, not a clue why!
-
Didn't The Sun run with direct quotes from Llambias saying it should be completed this week?
-
I think it has sold out now.
-
Not sure I believe that. I don't get why he'd tell some random person, yet not report it on SSN.

Aye I wonder what it is.. "Ryder is a wanker, Ryder is a wanker, na na na na!"

Think you're getting your Gomis' mixed up.

Superb pictures, Mick. Is it true that the stadium will be open next week too, rather than just tomorrow? I'd really like to come up during the week if possible.
-
Talk like that makes me think it's even more bullshit, you shared your news now let's see if your correct. Don't have to ramble on about your reasons for it being right, aye? No need for that really. All he's saying is that the person who has told him is usually reliable and that he isn't making it up. Nothing wrong with that.

Really want to come up and pay my respects. Going to try and do it sometime tomorrow but it's not looking likely. If I can't make it, I'll definitely head up on the day of his funeral, whenever that is.

That's class, and just the kind of thing Bobby would say himself. Agreed, one of the only things today that's made me chuckle. Yep. What a brilliant comment.

SSN: £10m offer from Spurs for Sebastien Bassong rejected
Ash replied to Crumpy Gunt's topic in Football
If he is leaving us, then it's good news. Could well set off a bidding war. -
Sums up my thoughts too.
-
Yeah, I don't think that'll happen. £1m ish imo. We've already turned down a £2m bid from Hull.

Thought I'd start a new thread on this, rather than add it to the condolence thread. What memory do you have of Sir Bobby that will always live with you? Is there a game that stands out that makes you think of him? For me, Sunday's game ranks right up there. Seeing the usual joyous smile on his face, despite him knowing how ill he was, sums the man up, especially in the picture below. He looked absolutely delighted with the reception he got and the way his face lit up when he entered the pitch was amazing. http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/javaImages/c1/d9/0,,10278~6805953,00.jpg

Absolutely heartbroken. Loved the man. Such an inspiration, such a gentleman, such a legend. God bless you, Sir Bobby, may you rest in peace.

You just know there'll be some knob dancing around outside SJP with an inflatable nuclear warhead. The thought of that just made me burst out laughing. Cheers. You're not the only one. Good work, Wullie!

Starting to believe this now... Probably a bad idea.
