  1. Hope Enrique sticks or twists soon, so we can work on getting a replacement in if he decides to go.
  2. O'Shea will improve their defense, not sure about Brown though. Gardner will improve their midfield, not sure about the rest. Migniolet (sp?) looked like a decent keeper last year, as is Gordon so I don't know why they went for Westwood. Dong-Won I haven;t got a clue about and Wickham will be unlikely to cause a huge impact in his first season. They'll stay up, mid-table I recon. Some decent signings tbh.
  3. Can you though? Who? And what don't you see in Long? Not saying he's world class, but he has the attributes and the potential to do very well for us. Whether £7m is fair or not is a bit hard to say. I haven't seen a huge number of games in the championship but when I watched Reading last season he's never stood out. If you look at the caliber of players we've got in for less, 7 million seems like a huge amount. I'd rather have DJ Campbell here for example. He's proved himself to be a decent option at this level and would complement Ba well as a poacher. IMO Long is far superior to DJ Campbell, although more expensive. I can imagine the reaction on here if the next striker we sign is Campbell, it would be meltdown. It's going to be difficult for the club to win here isn't it? If they sign someone decent for a low fee they'll be slammed for penny pinching, if they pay any money for someone who's not world class they'll be criticised for that as well. Narrows down the list of acceptable targets quite a lot. I'm ignoring net spend and focusing on the players brought in. We need a striker, a fast one at that. Shane long doesn't have that sort of pace from what I've seen. If we are unwilling to spend in the region of 10-15 million to get a bit of a marquee singing in this position, then I would be happier singing Campbell from what I've seen of the two players. Fair enough, we'll have to agree to disagree. FWIW one of Long's biggest strengths is his pace... that's exactly why I think he would be good. I've just realised that Campbell is 28 . I don't know, just think we should either go for it and get a someone of higher quality for more or get someone more proven at this level.

  6. Do we have any people with crazy hacking skillz who could find out who cwarr07 actually is? I'm getting really curious who would spend so much time making shit up.
  7. I don't understand what people see in Long, 7 million pounds is laughable. If we're going to spend that much money surely we can get someone better.
  8. Dem Maggies is well scared marra, fucking green cunts.... Don't give them the ammo It's Sunderland man, it's like giving a loaded gun to a blind person. With no hands. We'll do fine really, Ben Arfa is going to do cute french poops all over their faces
  9. I think they'll get the result at their place this season. The fact it's the second game of the season and we're starting with a lot of premier league newbies is going to make it difficult for us.
  10. His squad number is 53 According to his twitter pic anyway.
  11. Looks cheaper and more horrible than ours. Impressive.
  12. I really like that Wish we could get Nike as a sponsor.
  13. Why would Larsson and Gardner ensure that when they were part of a Birmingham side that went on a similarly dismal run? I'd love for somebody on here to put together a genuine explanation as to why Larsson and Gardner are well rated on this board. I particularly went out of my way to watch more of Larsson in the backend of last season and I simply don't understand why he is highly rated. One paced, not the best technically and his set-piece crossing ability is so overstated it is untrue. Gardner on the other hand is even more confusing to me. What the hell do people see in him? He's not got great technique, not got any real vision or passing range. His apparent quality is that he has a good goalscoring record, but before last season it was nothing special. He scores goals because he picks up the ball and shoots as often as possible without much thought or intelligence. This going to come across like even more anti-Sunderland bias but it really isn't. I was hostile in another thread towards re-signing Ireland, yet I'd much, much, MUCH rather sign Stephen Ireland than either of these players. That's how little I rate them. I think the majority of us have seen Gardner smash in a few goals on MOTD and assumed he's a decent player. I know I have.
  14. Just looked through the RAWK photoshop thread and there are some really good pics on there. The best were by this bloke though: http://www.typographyserved.com/gallery/Sucker-for-Soccer/1289701. Would consider purchasing a few, shame he hasn't done Shearer.
  15. He's the next Alan Shearer according to FM
  16. That's a bit of a stupid thing to say
  17. Andy vs Liverpool. After losing Hughton beating Liverpool, and that goal in particular were huge for me
  18. Anyone have a link to a decent Birmingham FC forum? I'd like to see what they think and the one in our thread is dead.
  19. I pretty much go by this statement.
  20. That is horrific. Excellent. I think it looks really good
  21. Our keeper belting out the national anthem
  22. I'll buy the tickets, it'll snow for a week and all the games will be called off
