I've always thought he was a 'Purple Patch' striker, where he seems to score 2-3 in a batch and then can go months without scoring again. Agree with the comment that says he's ball greedy and just shoots regardless. His shots to goal ratio must be shocking. Ask the Spurs FM bloke, he'll probs say it's 100%.

Don't understand why people are sneering at this, without him West Ham would have already been relegated. In terms of influence he is a good winner.

I think it would be a poor decision to spend over 20 million on one player. We have the chance to bolster our squad in multiple positions, rather than going for a trophy signing that will leave us up shit creek with an injury / difficulty adapting or settling in / or a poor run of form.

Yeah he's getting a bit down about the constant injuries / the fact they don't know what's wrong exactly. Still he's young there's still time for him to play his way into the first team. Hopefully he'll have a good pre-season which will help him for next season.

He had an operation to fix something in his leg/knee. But he's still in a canny bit of pain so it may have went wrong. It's looking like he wont be playing again this season
