Maybe the shitter we are, the more sorry Rafa feels for us and the more he wants to take us back up. Or not.

Koscielny and Ozil on the bench

If you take a 4pt hit on an Everton player, for example, it's worth it because they have consecutive double gameweeks. Someone like Barkley or Lukaku is worth it.
-
For the love of god don't do this. It's the sort of thing Liverpool fans do, which is normally a bad thing but Rafa does seem to love that club....

If nothing else comes up, I reckon he'd like to stay. But you'd have to think either a good job will open up somewhere or Ashley will release him. And I hate myself for even thinking there's a chance

Even if we got another 10 points, Norwich and Palace would only need 4 and 1 points respectively (considering goal difference). Makes it really hard to decide what we want for their match on Saturday - I'd personally sacrifice Palace's safety for the slim chance we can catch Norwich.

Ryder's done that to me before too - basically lifted an entire blog post plugged on here.

As long as Norwich don't beat Palace or Sunderland, they're catchable. Don't want to actively cheer on any of them though, I'm just seeing what fate gives us.

Also, considering we need leaders like Nolan and Barton - I'd try to bring in Carrick for free.

Exactly, every September I find myself surprised at which players are still at those relegated clubs. Last time, we kept Coloccini, Enrique and Gutierrez. A lot of our players' reputations have taken a hit by going down and will struggle to find a buyer. So we're naturally going to keep 2 or 3 of our bigger players - I'm hoping for Mitrovic, Shelvey and Mbemba. Add to that the likes of Anita and Riviere (who we won't be able to give away) and those of Championship quality like Colback, Dummett and Lascelles. Not a bad base for that level. But it should never have come to this.

Getting hooked to football as a kid was a huge mistake. Wish things had gone a different route

Organisation and motivation can take you a long way in football, even if you lack ability. They're basically the opposite of us.

I'd definitely go Rodgers, but the papers were linking him with a return to Swansea. Makes sense.
