Sunday has changed my opinion on signing Carroll - let's get him. May as well. At least our hoofs will reach a head, at least we might score from a corner, at least we'll have some passion in the derby.
-
If we got Benitez, it'd make Liverpool fans love us and I'm not comfortable with that.
-
This game still really hurts The key is to be gracious when talking to mackems, seems to nip it in the bud.
-
Best transfer would be a new manager tbh. A decent one.
-
Mine had us and Villa on 37, with Villa going on goal difference. Strange, because I thought they'd be fine.
-
High pressure off the ball seems to be 'in' right now, doesnt it? Lets get someone who's good at that. Our players are good on the ball, so it must be off it where we're shit.

Whelan could let Martinez go as a goodwill gesture for his past loyalty. Then again, Whelan is a piece of shit that hates Ashley.

I did the BBC predictor and had us stay up, despite only getting 1 more point! We're lucky there's so many games between those around us - they cant both win! Stoke vs Norwich Aston Villa vs Sunderland Norwich vs Aston Villa Sunderland vs Stoke Sunderland vs Southampton Southampton vs Stoke Wigan vs Aston Villa

Aye, I was expecting the day after a derby mauling to be all unicorns and rainbows
-
I think he assisted Kanu for one of Blackburn's goals.
-
1963? I think Taribo West scored that day.
-
They'll stay up. I think they'll beat Everton - I know they never beat them but history didnt stop them yesterday did it?
-
The type of players that'd react to a 'kick up the arse' are the type that wouldn't crumble under the pressure of a derby.

West Bromwich Albion vs Newcastle United - 20/04/13 @ 3pm (No TV)

I'm sure we'll be allowed an emergency loan, lets get Friedel or Lindegaard. -
0-1 would've been one thing, but 0-3? To a team that weren't particularly great themselves, with a shit manager? A very dark day for the club. It's been coming for a while under Pardew but I don't see this as a wake-up call because I dont trust him to turn things around. The mackems will never shut up about this.

Anyone who hasn't doesn't need to now. It's over 50 years old The time to be all 'spoiler alert' is long gone!
-
We were saying that just before we beat Fulham as well though. It's hard to focus on after a derby defeat but surely we will pick up the one win we need before the end of the season. Even if we don't know exactly which game it will be now. The key being that we had Fulham (h) and Sunderland (h) to come. We don't have that anymore and we're still in trouble unless we rectify our abysmal away record.
-
Exactly. Managers are aware of Newcastle's poisoned chalice, but their ego will drive them to the job because they want to be 'the one' that finally succeeds. Imagine how great that'd look.

Anyone seen the film Old Yeller? The family takes in a dog and they form a loving bond. Time passes but one day Old Yeller gets rabies. Eventually, heartbroken, they have to shoot the rabid dog. Jonas has rabies.

We only need 2 or 3 points but I really don't see where they'll come from. I don't trust this lot to do anything right now - whether that's winning away games or battling against the big teams.
-
I thought Ben Arfa did as well as he could today, there's only so much he can do. Fact is, his teammates slack off because they expect Hatem to do everything. It's embarrassing to watch, actually.

Honestly, I'd take almost anyone over this prick. I mean that.

What's depressing is that everything we've (rightly) accused Sunderland fans of being, our lot are doing it in spades tonight. Due to hypocrisy, we can't laugh at 5-1 anymore, we can't call them scum anymore.....we have more in common than we'd like to admit. It's giving football-haters more to bash us with and it's giving the North East's reputation a battering. Us and Sunderland are as bad as each other
