Has anybody used PickLive before? https://thefootballramble.picklive.com/ Its a sort of in-play fantasy league and you can win money. Not entirely sure how it works though.....theres a demo on that link.

Remember walking out of the ground telling my mam it was a shame that Newcastle lost (to Southampton, I think). Never seen so many simultaneous head turns. Hang your head in shame.
-
I said Spurs, Liverpool and Sunderland. Could easily have been Man United though. Wigan are a nothing club so, as much as I want them relegated, they don't matter to anybody.

Its Fuck The Mags, unless they're confronted about being obsessed with us.....then its Follow The Mackems. My first ever football match was a SoL cheapo. Sunderland 2-1 Bury with Dean Kiely in goal for the Shakers.

Very interesting read tonight, I love how a major road runs under the Calderon. Love a bit of La Liga, like. A friend is doing a year at Barcelona Uni so I'm determined to get out there and watch a match.

Arsenal can attract better whereas we definitely can't. If he wasn't already unsure, he is now. We were always after him but if Wenger wanted him he'd have got him.
-
Good work, now to get Taylor signed up. Don't fancy losing him on a free....
-
If anything, the broken leg might stop us being pipped to his signature. He'll not join Man City, Spurs now have VdV, Arsene Wenger saw how Eduardo was affected and I doubt Chelsea or Man United would be in. Clubs that were already undecided will see it as too big of a risk. Plus, Ben Arfa is now another victim of falling in love with the city/fans.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3163401/Adam-Johnson-makes-Newcastle-pay-for-rejecting-him.html Wow, didn't realise he supported us. Or that we rejected him....

Strangely me too, just one of them games where i've genuinly felt like shite afterwards. Life was great in the championship... I genuinely have a "what was the point?" attitude today. The transfer saga was stressful, we had the jubilation of getting him, the pre-match anticipation of seeing him play, the joy of seeing his performance at Everton and the general happiness of knowing that a world class player played for my team. All that emotion ultimately went to waste, because he managed little over 3 matches. I just feel like any time I raise my hopes about football, something puts paid to that. We're due some serious luck!

Newcastle United v Wigan Pre-Match Thread - 16/10/10, 3.00 PM
Ketsbaia replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
If we don't win this match then we don't really deserve to stay up, taking Stoke and Bpool into account too. A gigantic must win game and I'm a bit worried. Could go any way. -
We're in early October, do we count this month as well? If so it's March. I had it as 3rd October + 2 months = 3rd December. +1 = 3rd January and then +3 = 3rd April. Roughly.
-
February is 4 months, so it looks like April.

In Hollywood he'd recover with 7-8 games to go and single handedly drag us out of the relegation zone. His last minute winner against West Brom on the final day sparks a pitch invasion and as he is being lifted on somebody's shoulders he declares over the microphone "I love Newcastle. I'm staying. ADRIAAAAAAAAN". As much as this sucks, there might still be time to rescue us. The HBA story continues....
-
Very impressed with him. If we persist with him, we'll not go far wrong. And maybe it'll force S Taylor to RB, if that thought has entered Hughton's head.
-
no they can't. waste of a programme really....
-
this 'Respect' campaign is a farce. they don't deserve an inch of respect, which may come across as harsh but the standard is so, so low.
-
The Ben Arfa injury dramatically rose the number for me. But the performance today drops it slightly. Changed from a 3 to a 7

I tried to stay away, but here it goes. What happened today was a tragedy. All that hype, happiness and potential is now for nothing. For the team, this is a monumental blow and we're now in trouble, but HBA himself must be in tears. Did anybody catch the little thumbs up he gave as he was stretchered off? To me it feels like the end of the world (although obviously it isnt) and one of the very worst things that could've happened to the club. After a month of following him at the airport, going on strike and the eventual delivery a world class player, to see him break his leg after 3 games and 3 minutes is heartbreaking and i was completely numb for the rest of the match. We got a glimpse of a Geordie hero and had him cruelly snatched away. Its going to be a sad few days. What might have been.....
