Apart from Wigan, the other scores have been alright for us. Its looking very grim for Wolves and West Ham. And obviously Blackpool will eventually be down there. But West Brom have been proper bellends lately.

From twitter: simonbirdmirror Hughton has a video analyst sitting in press box with us passing tactical notes to bench. Studying freeze frames of Fulham corners. #nufc

Positives: 7th in the table and already on 18 points. Halfway to safety. At times (Villa, Sunderland, Everton, Arsenal, West Ham and Man City) we've shown we can be a very good side We've shown the ability to win matches away from home These players really do care We seem to have some stability, at last Carroll, Tiote, Coloccini, Barton and Enrique Negatives: Theres no plan B. Teams that do their homework can see a very clear way to deny us victory. A weak subs bench, with nobody that can change matches. 2 points from Blackpool, Stoke, Wigan, Blackburn and Fulham is quite simply unacceptable. We've had a good fixture list so far and still haven't played any of the big teams at home yet. ....basically. If we can keep our heads above water until January, I trust Hughton can get in the 2 players we need.

That tackle on Johnson was exceptional.
-
At least we still have Wolves, Birmingham, West Brom and West Ham to come at home. Don't know if thats a good thing or bad.
-
Thats very true, but our next 3 away games are pretty nice. Can see us squeaking 4 points from them.
-
Basically, the game was there to be won. But we've lost this sort of game so often in recent years. Still disappointed though.
-
He's gonna get sent off, man
-
Cant believe im saying this, but we need Smith on for Tiote
-
We're doing alright, but Jonas is so frustrating. Guthrie and Loven haven't been that bad actually, although Enrique and Carroll have been very good. Think we need Ranger at some point.
-
Tiote needs to be very careful today. Otherwise for the next game it'll be Guthrie-Smith-Nolan-Jonas. May as well forfeit that one.
-
Ahhh Chris man, I think you've messed up in a big way there. If Shola isn't fit, Loven is acceptable I suppose, but Guthrie on the right? That won't work. Although I'm happy to be proved wrong....
-
Don't know if anyone else has mentioned this, but without Barton's delivery, perhaps we need the dreaded Ryan Taylor to start. But it has to be either him or Routledge though, there'd be no point shunting Guthrie wide. Also, start with Ranger to frighten their defence. Can definitely see a non-win for us, here.

West Ham v Blackpool (Both to Score) Newcastle v Fulham (Both to Score) Athletic Bilbao PSV v Excelsior (2.5+ goals) Bournemouth £1 returns roughly £9
-
I do rate him a lot, but thats pretty good money. Having said that, he's not just a good player, he's half of a good partnership. So who knows?!?!
-
If Spurs went up to £6/7m, i'd be tempted like. Not that they will.
-
Krul Simpson - Campbell - Coloccini - Enrique Barton - Nolan - Smith - Gutierrez Ameobi - Carroll ....although naturally I don't want Smith anywhere near the team. 1-1
-
Somebody mentioned needing a Plan B. Well, this is our Plan B. We just need to keep things ticking until he returns.
-
i've been away all match, but it was sadly predictable they'd do this. 5 times in a row, man!!! not too disheartened though, although its clear that blackburn and stoke styles dont sit well with us. the big problem is being without tiote on saturday. what did barton do, by the way? is he likely to miss saturday? i'd take a point now, like.
-
If Capello and his assistant are really doing their job, Williamson and Barton should be in contention too. But its probably a million miles away, especially Big Mike.
-
I'd give a 2 year extension, with a nice wage bump. Lets not get too rash....

that savage video is awesome
