  1. he's hardworking enough to suggest it could work with him playing through the middle, a box to box midfielder, when you think about it neither lampard, gerrard, barton, scholes, rob lee... had a great deal of pace about them either.
  2. Read somewhere Ince wants him at Blackburn. i read that too http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer_league_1_and_2/08/07/21/manual_114019.html
  3. not surprising to see the mackems commenting, oh keegan's going to walk out, dummy spit etc. for all their £50m last season it didn't do a great deal, i'd piss myself giggling if keane went to be sir alex's assistant.
  4. or lock the thread, seeing as the aimar business is over with?
  5. i like the guy, chipped in with a couple of goals, wanted to play for the team so much he played unfit, and unfortunately copped it big time. he was captain of lyon for 5 seasons they won the championship in a row, and to do that you'd have to be a good, solid player.
  6. stoke bolton wba i'd love it if sunderland got relegated though
  7. so getting back to the point, what became of those youngsters?
  8. all the best to him shame he's not coming back here but i can understand why.
  9. hehehe brilliant i bet we get linked with signing one in the chronicle...
  10. http://www.liverpoolkits.com/LFC87AP11.jpg their new one reminds me a bit of that one ^
  11. i'm sure we could raise enough to at least pay up the rest of ameobi's contract lol
  12. here's something for us to chew on, the media and seemingly all but our fans seem to hate nufc. we're recruiting a squad like an army, youngsters and people who want to sign up, ie gutierrez, guthrie. keegan is a good man motivator and can bring the best out of players, so are we forming a new gang mentality, like the sex pistols, noone likes us, and we don't care, but we're going to rally against this and work and perform our hearts out?! i'm trying to be positive here, Skirge style, fight the power!
  13. i hope we sign him, i like the wee fella
  14. my mate's dad despised warren barton for years, and finally got to hurl some abuse at him when he was driving along the quay and saw barton near chase ... 'hoooow piss pot! yer fucking shite yeee' at the top of his voice and barton almost cacked himself apparently. made my mate's dad's year that did, the same fella reckons keith gillespie still owes him money too lol
  15. i'm sure he said signing unproven south americans who had no experience of european football was a bad idea, whereas aimar is an established international with 7 years worth of european football including the champions league and has won trophies

    Anton?

I like the getting rid of Duff part but not the Anton Ferdinand part. £10million-rated? By who? his mam probably hehehe
  17. i'd be surprised if liverpool let him go on loan to another prem team, i'd have thought maybe to a club in la liga?
  18. interesting i've always rated sorin
  19. he didn't get signed up at palace until he was 22, and went on to play at the highest level until he was about 35, being top scorer at the arse for about 6 years, and breaking a club scoring record. not bad for someone who hadn't been given a chance to prove their ability until they were 22, not 16/17 like rooney or owen
  20. i bet alan oliver or roger tames would end up being station anchor on there waffling on about shite
  21. i really did think that was a pisstake, money-packet. i thought it was the media trying to pull one over on us
  22. 7/8th is realistic, any higher than that would be brilliant, and show we'd be heading in the right direction
