  1. One thing im completely and utterly sure of is that the fans will continue to be left in the dark. There will be no PL statement. There will be no insightful NUFC statement. There will be no further comment from PIF. Maybe Caulkin, who clearly wasnt really in the know or someone else will claim to have some insight as to why it didnt go through but we'll never truly know because we're held in contempt by every single party involved.
  2. Dont think Ashley would have fucked it tbh. The deal was good for him, as much as I hate him I dont think its on him. Clearly PIF havent passed the PL tests and there was no way of doing so in their eyes so they've withdrawn to save face. The PL wont need to comment either. The most gut wrenching thing is the investment into the local area now gone. Would have been good for the region without doubt.
  3. I would also like the express my fondness for that particular Northern city. Would consider living there if the opportunity arose.
  4. Pretty sure thats what happened here, player didnt leave the pitch at the nearest side. Judging how much complaining their manager is doing I'm guessing the waiting sub didnt get on. https://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/irish-league/glentoran/watch-darren-murray-receives-strange-red-card-while-being-substituted-as-glentoran-boss-slams-pathetic-referee-38564396.html
  5. People sitting around waiting for an 'announcement' as if thats all that it needs. They clearly haven't met the criteria to pass the fit and proper persons test else we would have heard about that. 17 weeks and counting since they first agreed a deal to buy the club. The situation wont develop from here imo and it'll remain as a stalemate.
  6. I'd like to see him played in his proper position, i.e on the left of a front three before completely assigning him to the bin. There are ever so slight flashes of raw ability, namely pace and strength. He's not in a million years a centre forward though.
  7. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0093n6w His desert island discs from 1996 is a great listen.
  8. He's hardly gonna come out and say he was shite like is he. A centre half that cant play in a back four. Certainly not a midfielder. Useful to have around incase we play with 5 at the back like but otherwise i'm not sure what he brings.
  9. mad to think he started in the CL final just 12 months ago. Barely looks a premier league player these days.
  10. Im not sure the premier league test will be pass/fail and we'll get an announcement per se. It'll be more to the case that the owners aren't meeting a certain set of standards and thus the test wont pass but itll be assumed that the prospective owners are working towards passing. There'll only ever be an announment if the PL test is passed imo. Readings owner supposedly failed the PL test when trying to buy Hull, but there was never any announcement. This shit will rumble on and eventually fizzle out as the club continues to stumble on like an extra from Shaun of the Dead.
  11. the only active player from the 2002 world cup too
  12. This current side with a fit HBA and Ba in, based on their form at us would finish top 6. Even with Bruce in charge.
  13. Not sure why Bournemouth have been so bad this season. Haven't recalled them selling anyone, weird how they went to shit. Think Watford and West Ham will stay up. Though West Ham v Villa last day of the season could be canny.
  14. Campbell should get a shot at a decent League 1 club imo. Kept Macclesfield up when they were dead and buried and they weren't even paying their players. Southend too in dire straits financially. Would be interesting to see how he does at a club not up shit creek.
  15. Quite like Iain Dowie on co comms like. Provides better insight than most.
  16. https://twitter.com/DeludedOf/status/1278673343701540865/photo/1 The most ill fitting username since some bloke calling himself Stifler signed up here
  17. I think it being massively complicated in terms of BeIn and the potential of other clubs losing TV money is why we wont see a conclusion of this deal for a good while and possibly never. If it was going to go through, it would have been done by now, unfortunately its turned into a big legal/political struggle and its unlikely to be sorted any time soon imo. I think the Saudi's will potentially pull the plug before the PL is able to appease everyone, if they are even able to do that. Where does that leave us? ANOTHER protracted takeover saga with no communication from either side. I'm worn out.
