The players we sign under Pardew simply aren't a long term investment because the majority will regress under his archaic football thus we fail to maximise the resale potential that has underpinned all of our acquisitions in the last half a decade. Furthermore our 2014 so far suggests that things aren't going to improve. Ashley would be forced to sack him if he carried on with this form, then you've got to expect a new manager to come in and work with a players signed over the summer when he wasnt there.
