The fact is, weather he's good enough or not, he shouldnt have been marking Huth for the two goals. Huth is a fucking giant and one of the biggest on Stoke's team, why was it left to Perch to pick him up, TWICE? Why wasnt Williamson or Coloccini marking him? The fact is, if we had a bit of organisation about us at the back, Perch would have been size for size and we may have won the two headers that cost the goals. Simple stuff really.

Even in his final season (Having wanted to retire a year earlier) He still scored 10 goals. What would we give for someone alongside Carroll that could score 10 goals this season. The season before that he got 19 goals in all comps, hardly a slog. He didnt go on too long, he went on because the fact is we needed him. We had an injured Michael Owen and Shola Ameobi, you cannot criticize him for "going on too long" when in fact we still needed him, the proof of that was that he was our top scorer every season 00-01 until he retired. .

Cant not have Shearer and Henry for me. No contest between Van Nistlerooy and Shearer. The horses heed was an out and out poacher, yet Shearer still had a better record than him at his peak. Henry was absolutely sublime.

Of course it's not just about goals but Drogba has only ever scored more than 20 league goals in one season (in any league) on 2 occasions. Shearer however has scored 20+ goals in 7 seasons. Shearers goal record is miles better. Got to be Shearer for me.

Not for me but i suppose thats where our opinions differ. If I was a world class footballer, fair enough, you'd have to give it some consideration. However Andy Carroll is not a world class footballer, yes he's a very good player but not world class and wouldnt get into a team challenging for all the honours going. Yes you could leave and maybe pick up a league cup winners medal at spurs, maybe even an FA cup medal however sticking with your home town club and becoming a legend would certainly mean more to me than a few medals. There's no guarantee's he'll stick mind. In fact it would be a rarity, cant think of many good footballers who have stuck at a club not playing good football mind.
