  1. Must WIN tonight for them. Though having said that the same has been said for the past 3 games or so. The annoying thing is though, even if they get beat tonight, they wont go down due to the utter terribleness of Hull and Burnley.
  2. Definately. Very good little player. I dont think he'll be in 'arrys first team plans next season and I cant see him wanting to sit on the bench. The lad would be a cracking signing imo.
  3. Villa signed him for £5M at that age I think. Though he didnt do well there. He'd only made 6 or so u21 apps so there could be hope for Carroll yet.
  4. He'd be stupid not go for it, a chance to play at a major international tournamen ....oh wait, best stick with England Andy. Nah in all seriousness he might aswell go for it, he's not going to ever get in the England squad and he's better than Iwelumo.
  5. What about Jermaine Pennant? He's having a bit of a nightmare in Spain isnt he? Proven Prem player, only 27. Very good for Birmingham a few year back. Would do for cover or challenge Routledge for a place, even if he is a bit of a cunt.
  6. It all depends how Hughton spends. Centre Midfield is the key I think. Part of the reason we went down last season was that whenever the ball was played into midfield, we'd lose possession and pressure would be heaped onto the defence. It dosent matter who you have upfront, if you dont create chances you dont score. Bringing in Routledge and giving a bit of balance to the side will go someway to solving our chance creating problems. We definately need a creative playmaker, is Guthrie that man? I'm still unconvinced tbh. I dont know if he has enough about him to solve our creative woes. A goalscoring striker is vital too. I dont think Lovenkrands, Ameobi or Carroll have enough about them to get enough goals to stay up. The less said about relying on Leon Best to keep us up the better tbh. We could do with cover/ someone who can challenge for a place at Right back and left back. I'd look into getting Van Aahnholt on loan again possibly. We also need cover on the right wing, Routledge is our only out and out winger, lose him and you lose alot of balance. So yeah, basically what Leeds Mag said.
  7. I also have Leeds to be relegated. I did mention it was a mixture of realism and emotion...so mackams to go down is nailed on. I hate Hull and want to see N'Zogbia in the Championship. Its not an impossibility. Someone would sign him. Wouldn't be surprised if he left anyway tbh He'll go to Arsenal. Or so he thinks.
  8. Be careful lads. Criticising Mike is out of order after all he's done for us. Obviously not proper "supporters" are we.
  9. 1-1 draw I think. A scrappy affair, we'll play poorly as per usual away from home. We'll take the lead and then they'll nick it with another handball goal. cheating cunts.
  10. Certainly cant see Hull staying up like. Not even the influential Bullard will save that rabble.
  11. The premier league must be one of the most over hyped products ever. David Gold was on Radio 5 earlier saying that it is best league that the world has ever known. What a load of bollocks, its in Sky's interests to perpetuate this myth for obvious reasons - the reality is a totally predictable, uncompetitive league which is killing the domestic cup competitions, loads of dull games with most teams scraping around for bore draws and enough points to stay up That will be us next season - what a treat to look forward to Couldn't agree more. It's a complete myth, best league Give me Germany any day, where fans are actually treated with respect. Modern football is s****. Exactly. I'd rather follow the French league tbh, it's a shit standard but hey at least it's interesting. The relitively small club that is Sochaux are 2nd, they were only promoted a few seasons ago. The atmosphere's are also much better too. The premier league is boring, predictable and totally and utterly plastic. Cant see it changing either.
  12. One thing I like about Hughton is his lack of tactical arrogance if you like. We know he loves Nicky Butt, however he's dropped him. Previous managers might have stuck with him and gone with the my way or the high way approach.
  13. It's quotes like that which make people set up shit like this http://www.clivetyldesleyisacunt.co.uk/index.html
  14. I think we could make the top 4, if not definately europe. After all, it's our god given right to be there..... ....Well somebodys got to keep up the stereotype that the media loves to believe.
  15. I wish Blatter and his cronies would (barring the active/inactive offside rule) just leave the rules of the game be ffs.
  16. Untill he gets someone in who knows football I fear he'll carry on making the same mistakes. I really think he needs some sort of advisor, someone who's been involved in the running of a club, someone who knows a few tricks of the trade. Lambhuna and Ashley dont really know how to run a football club, getting someone like David Dein in on a massive salary could make all the difference. I know Shepherd and Hall had Freddie Fletcher in the early days and I remember Shepherd saying how running a football club was like a minefield and Fletcher helped them through it. In the end I'm not too sure how much of a positive impact if any Freddie Fletcher had at Newcastle but surely Ashley and Llambias having someone there who's experienced for a bit for advice couldn't hurt.
  17. Always thought he was a canny player when I've seen him. Constant bad injuries will probably have took their toll like.
  18. Tbf Scholes dosent seem the type of player that the hairdryer treatment would work on. Scholes seems the type of lad that would get motivated and their arse into gear with a hand round the shoulder and a quiet word rather than the hairdryer treatment.

Probably the best right back i've seen at the club in the previous decade. He was fantastic imo. However, he lost all respect from me the day he left AFTER saying he'd stay. You cant come out and say your willing to stick around and then leave at the first choice. If he had kept his mouth shut throughout the pre-season and then left, then fair enough but he didnt, he gobshitted off and then snaked off. I hope he regrets to fuck leaving. He's in the latter years of his career, stuck at a club that dosent want him and he dosent want to be there and after a nightmare season which will probably be his last in the premier league. Proof is there ever was any that the Grass isnt always greener on the other side.
  20. Totally agree with this the above post. The premier league is utter shit. It consists of the same top 4 clubs fighting for the title every single season while 16 other teams fight around for scraps. The whole league is money driven, totally and utterly money driven. Without an immense amount of financial backing no team outside the top 4 + City is ever going to get into the top 4 let ever challenge for the title again. Gold can be quiet tbh, what have West Ham ever got to look forward to? Trying to keep their head above water every season from now on, the best they can hope for is a mid of midtable mediocrity and if they're lucky and invest again more money they might qualify for a shitty European trophy that nobody seems to really care about these days anyway. The same goes for the majority of the league. Best fucking league in the world my arse. Ok, the standard of football is the best around but so fuck, what have we got to look forward to as fans? in terms of the league, nothing really. The sooner the top 4 + Man City fuck off into a European super league the better, then we might actually have a competitive league again.
