  1. People are entitled to comment on his performances for Germany, particularly if they've actually taken time to watch him.
  2. Shearer? D? I left him out because its barely fair to include him but fuck me, it could have hardly went much worse under him.
  3. No way Pardiola is below McClaren like. We finished 5th under him. McClaren was absolutely hopeless. Im saying that as someone who hated Pardew too. S: Keegan, Howe A: SBR B: Benitez C: Hughton, Keegan II D: Pardew, Roeder E: Dalglish, Kinnear, Bruce, Gullit F: Carver, Souness, Allardyce, McClaren McClaren, Carver, Souness and Allardyce reigns had absolutely no redeeming features. Gullit got to an FA Cup final, Kinnears actual results werent horrific and Bruce finished 13th twice.
  4. I think the Wissa signing is so important for Woltemade. Takes the pressure off and gives him some room to develop. I feel like he doesn't necessarily have to hit the ground running. I reckon there'll be a fair teething period. He might well struggle with the physicality, he might struggle with the pace but he should have plenty of time to get up to speed. I think Howe will be cautious with him and rightly so, and we might not see as much of him as you'd necessarily expect of a 60m player initially. Having said that, he will off us something completely different.
  5. More concerned with his 0 goals, 0 assists and 2 red cards in his last 14 appearances.
  6. 4 or 5 I think, over the Christmas period. Normally starts in Jan, but its in December this time.
  7. Just seen DR Congo have got Benin and Botswana in their AFCON group FFS.
  8. So what if Liverpool had stuck at 110m? You'd have still let him go? Or if they'd even came in at 100m? There had to have been a point where we say that's not enough for one of the best strikers in the world. I'd still have said it at 125m, personally. If he'd have still been here because they didn't stump up the cash, then fine, I don't think it'd have been the disaster as some have made it out to be.
  9. Think that Caulkin article pretty damning on PIF. We should stayed strong and got 150m. The money was there, Liverpool could have paid it and he's certainly worth it. It's still a capitulation. It's still weakness from the club. I thought I'd be less angry now we've got Wissa but I'm not, I still think they've allowed Liverpool to bully them. Allowing them to deliberately destabilise us and then pay just 125m really is pathetic.
  10. Would love Glasner to walk on the back of losing Guehi. A big fuck you to Parish for bending over for the cartel clubs
  11. If you can get two seasons out of him, where hes at his best and then another where he can contribute then it might be worth it financially. With the type of player he is, youre going to have to get very lucky for him still to be contributing post 32 year old.
  12. 125m is the maximum Liverpool were willing to pay, after a summer of deliberately unsettling him. So our only option is to let him go on their terms? Its so incredibly weak.
  13. This is it like. We wanted 150 and a replacement, we've allowed them to pay 125 and we've got no replacement. I refuse to accept that the club didn't have a choice. They did. It may have been a calculated decision (made by who?) but it's a poor one. The club specifically said that we'd only sell if our conditions had been met. Laughable really.
  14. Fuck all news on a training ground despite being here fucking years. No stadium news. No CEO all summer. Fucking rudderless. Their vast sums of money are rendered useless in this new PSR world. I wouldn't be arsed if they sold up and fucked off at this point.
  15. Them paying 125m is absolutely enraging like. I don't know how anyone can see it any other way
  16. This is the kicker. NUFC aim was 150m, but they've buckled and sold him for 20m less on the last day..
  17. And if we don't? 125m is a shit fee for one of the best strikers in the world and Liverpool have forced us to sell him under his value. The club haven't maximised his value. We look weak as fuck like.
  18. That wouldn't have happened. Instead we've let Liverpool bully us into paying 20/25m less than he's worth.
  19. Yeah I am. I think they've buckled. Even so, the fee isnt enough. Can't whinge your tits off about PSR and then not maximise selling.
  20. They're getting one of the best strikers in the world for as much as they paid for Wirtz Anyone who thinks this is in any way a good deal for us is off their tits.
  21. None of the fees quoted are enough. It's absolutely pathetic from the club to buckle given Liverpool have bullied them into it. Brentford can withstand pressure, why cant we? We've let Liverpool dictate the terms for probably the best striker in the world. It's soft as shit from the club.
