We seem to be only considering PL experience and it's led to us missing out on players for various reasons. We'll never really know who is to blame but there was plenty of talk about Howe winning the power struggle, unfortunately it very much looks like Mitchell was spot on in his assesment.

If we can't find a suitable replacement, he doesn't go like. That should be the bottom line. If he wants to refuse to play he can do so. If we have Wissa in, he can start the season. Isak will come back into the fold eventually. We absolutely should not be bullied in this and we should only agree on a deal that we find acceptable. Whether that's in terms of a fee or having a replacement lined up.

I think this is good business if it's an option to buy. Free up funds for elsewhere. If he's good we can keep him, if he's shite we can sack him off without having to sell.

A keeper should be the easiest position to sign Less consideration for them fitting into a tactical system or Howes press, they don't need to get used to the pace of the PL. They don't really need PL experience to slot straight in. All we need is the right profile and ability to use their feet. Fucking Sels was keeper of the year last season Instead we've chased Trafford for two years, he's gone to City and you can guarantee we won't have a plan B lined up. A keeper that can use his feet it's pretty important if we're to develop as a team. Instead it's going to be another season of watching Pope boot it out of play. Shambles man.
