Horrific that when you read through it. Delaying the season until late August to accommodate more pre season games, not even pretending to give a fuck about the game
-
Whats the progress? Shifted from considering a move for Ramsey to preparing a (swiftly rejected) bid?
-
I had no idea he was rated until this window. Did he stand out last season when they were getting humped every week?
-
Strange definition of quickly being applied here
-
I do think there is a way back. This season at least. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/23610289 Suarez refused to train, Rodgers outright criticized him in the press and then he scored 31 goals the following season. Modric refused to play Spurs opening game of 11/12 then played the full season leaving for Real Madrid the following summer. Both got their moves eventually. There'll be other examples too. Clubs can and do refuse to sell players, and they're reintegrated for some time at least.

He's a Wilson replacement and a good one at that. Not an Isak replacement though.
-
Howay let's get this done man.
-
Why would he want to stay if the club cant kick on?
-
Next summer certainly if he has a good season. Cant imagine many of the more ambitious players are wanting to stick around at a club thats managed one permanent first team signing in four windows.
-
An update about us 'admiring' Malick Thiaw sent me over the edge the other day.
-
Going to be hard to keep track of all these players that im desperate to completely fail this season like.
-
Granted, there are exceptions. Wed have all said Matz Sells was rubbish, but he was one of the best keepers in the league last year. As a rule though, if people watching him week in, week out are saying he isn't good enough, I'm inclined to trust their judgement for the most part.
-
Not particularly enthralled at this one. Another mixed bag in terms of his form/ability. Doesn't feel like the signing a Champions League club would make for their first choice centre half.
-
Who the fuck is running the club btw? Howe? Reuben? It's a mess off the pitch.
-
The lack of end product in a Gordon Jackson Elanga front 3 If we thought we were a fairly one dimensional, counter pressing side that struggled to break teams down before, well...
-
One of the best ways to judge a player is to have a look at what their clubs own fans think of him. Have a look at what Forest fans say about Elanga, Brentford fans say about Wissa and then compare that with Chelsea fans about Jackson. There was even a Chelsea fan in another thread on here saying he wasn't up to much.
-
I think he'll flop like. Not convinced.
-
There are players out there. Trippier and Bruno joined us when we were 19th. Botman turned down AC Milan when we had no European football. It's such a massive failure on a number of levels. From scouting and the players targeted to strategy, negotiation and timing. Talk of Jamie Reuben doing the negotiating FFS. We'll never know the true reasons for sure, as to why this window has been a complete disaster. That's almost as frustrating as the window itself.
-
The striker situation, you can give a bit of leeway. Isak uncertainty, turned down again and again. Fine We've had all summer to sign a centre half and we haven't. It's so fucking poor like. We should have had a list of targets and it should have been done ages ago. Guehi, Scalvini, Thiaw, whoever.
-
40m is worth paying for him. In fact, whatever we were willing to pay last year is worth paying for him (though Palace will obviously accept less) It's not a case of "you'll get him for free in a year" because we won't. So it's no different him having 3 years left on his contract.
-
I agree. For some reason I just don't fancy him. Particularly if it means Isak going.
-
Luuk De Jong still going. Guessing he's improved since his stint here where every one of his shots seemed to trickle towards the keeper
-
Deal there to be done surely. Palace get a fee for a player who would leave in a year, we get a player who would probably go elsewhere next year. Unless he's dead set on Liverpool, in which case it's a non starter and we could engage in the absolutely ground breaking idea of swiftly moving on to another target.
