  1. Shola offside. Normal service resumes. Thank fuck we don't have to read Lee Ryder.
  2. It's honestly not bad. I'm enjoying it, the lad is doing a good job. He could use a co-commentator mind, but that's nitpicking. We're all taking the p*ss out of the guy but I'd be surprised if many English commentators had done as much homework as this guy's done. Let alone other US commentators. Very, very true.
  3. Watched Spurs play tonight in the Milk Cup. Quality football from them, and their Number 11 is absolute quality. Scored a wonder goal. Bolton Wanderers on the other hand were absolutely awful last night. Reading v Co. Tyrone was also pretty good, but they were juniors so difficult to tell much.
  4. I swear Ryder has no idea what he's talking about. Spirit in and around the club is not good. Source? Scout at the club. Can you elaborate on what he told you? Any details? Explained this in another thread. The guy's been at the club for over a decade. He says there've been two times when the atmosphere was fantastic in the club: under Sir Bobby and under Hughton. He says Hughton had brought back an atmosphere were everyone wanted to come into training, get on the pitch and get playing. Now he's never blamed Pardew for the loss of that, but I think it was the sacking of Hughton alienated everyone so much. Even the scout is trying to get to Birmingham to join up with Hughton again. He says it's not pleasant in there at the minute.

  6. Is that we've made £53m more than we've spent? Wow Those numbers are way off. Why so? £63m spent in the last 5 seasons? Go and take a quick look at the signings in the last 5 seasons, its closer to £90m. http://www.footbo.com/Teams/Newcastle/Transfers Adding those up took me to around £70m, working off the figures I recall at the time for the undiscloseds.

  9. Coloccini training by himself, having felt his groin in the last game. Doubtful for this.
  10. Tbf, we're unlikely to have proof until it appears there.
  11. Enrique for himself in this case I think I know the daughter of one the club's scouts. He says the atmosphere under Hughton had been the best since Bobby, bar none. It was superb working at the club, everyone was happy and everyone got along. The loss of Hughton - not actually Pardew especially, but the loss of Hughton - he claims devastated that atmosphere, so much so that after about 10 years working for the club he's going to join Hughton at Birmingham if officially approached. He says the atmosphere is ruined, and the players aren't happy. I think this will cause us to struggle this year. Genuinely. Agreed. It's not ITK bollocks, it's genuine info from inside the club.

  13. The fact that Routledge backed him up so quickly suggests the former.
  14. He's right, though. And deep down we all know it.

I thought that Mobile phone maybe?
  16. Plus, as you admitted we need a new CB. Why not take this fella as the backup we need if he's on a free? Saying we need a striker more is like not having any food or water, needing water urgently, but turning down a free Chinese takeaway cause you're searching from that precious bottle of Evian.
  17. Ba moved faster than Shola has for at least a decade, there.
