  1. How many minutes did he spend on the pitch?
  2. Anita isn't an attacking player though, i keep saying it and it keeps falling on death ears. He's a straight up DM and the only reason he was playing so far forward before because he was more creative than any other player we had fit and quite frankly was quicker and technically better too. When he plays DM( mostly from Ajax days) he hardly goes past the half way line, he just wins the ball gets it and gives it in a very economic manner in a Busquets style if you will. It really does worry me how poorly he's being used and it depresses me that Perch is in front of him as he could do what Perch has done in last couple of games and better in his sleep. I have not seen him used correctly since he joined this club and hope that changes in the near future. What about his performances thus far in England lead you to believe this, though? I understand how he played in Holland, but Afonso Alves played liek Robert Van Persie in Holland, it doesn't always translate especially from that league in particular. The calibre and physicality of players is of a higher level in England. Aye that BVP was something special
  3. His celebration embodied everything that I felt today. Never seen a player go ape shit as he did having scored. Beautiful feeling for him, and couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke.
  4. So so so so jealous man The home support was fantastic today. Soon as Chelsea's second went in, the fans picked the players up.
  5. agree with all, although I thought Cabaye had a brilliant first half dictating the play. The highlighted bit Massively important point. Has been the key difference in the past two games imo. Obviously Sissoko has been very influential, but Gouffran's contribution to out tactical game has been immense.
  6. No words to describe him today.
  7. For all we know, he could just be trying to conceal his starting line up. I'm no fan of Pardew by any stretch, but I bet he doesn't Marveaux man!
  8. Ba will obviously start. The one advantage Taylor has over MYM is in that he's sure to have come up against Ba in training and will know what to expect.
  9. trolled by the club it seems. It's good that he's here until summer tbh. Could be useful (has two legs) cover
  10. do you think he will though.....ot will he he be their ranger ? if they were closer to the bottom i think they'd play him. I haven't a dickie. But he needs to mend bridges with too many people to play again this season IMO, starting with the fans all the way through his teammates, manager and chairman. If he was a 20 year old dafty i'd have put it down to inexperience or bad advice. He's 31 ffs.
  11. Totally respect Jeremy Peace for dicking on Wetknapp from a great height. As for Odemwingie, the waster can fuck off and rot in the reserves for the next few months.
  12. When Pardew went to put an arm around him at full time, Jonas was shaking his head with disgust at himself. He knows he's making some shocking mistakes, and contributing little, yet he doesn't know how to turn it around. Anyone who's played football consistently for any decent amount of time will understand this feeling. Sometimes you get stuck in a rut and you're not sure what it is that needs to be done. A spell on the bench is one solution that's for sure. Always gives a player perspective and a chance to gather their thoughts. This is especially true in Jonas' case as he seems to want to rush everything he does on the pitch these days.
  13. 74 points f***ing hell! I'm up to 239th in NO league now
  14. Fantasy Football site has Mata doubtful for the weekend with an ankle injury
  15. all this over-analysis. Could it not be that he hugged him because he was the one who made that block on the line?
  16. Legendary from stifler that last page
  17. s*** he's broken himself. That's Dave bleeding.
  18. In the summer yes. Not now. Useless as he is, I wouldn't want him leaving until we have seen this season through. He's a good professional, and his friendship with Coloccini could be invaluable to us in the next few months. Aye they could finally get that knitting club up and running Not sure if serious!

  20. Reading wow! We will be the final nail in Rafa's coffin. Will get sacked when he loses at SJP.
  21. Theoretically they should be in complete awe this weekend at a chock full St James' Park. Loved the comment from Yanga-Mbiwa that the stadium name alone fills him with pride. I hope the home support roars us on to victory come 5pm
  22. Oh and whoever it was with the Darren Bent comparisons.....come off it man! Cisse was far more involved in general play last night than Bent was. He dropped deep and won the ball back for us on a couple of occasions. He also drifted out wide when we were under pressure, understanding that he could only provide an outlet to relieve our defence from wide positions, and didn't remain static in the center.
