In all seriousness this would, theoretically at least, look plausible. It would allow both Santon and Debuchy to attack more regularly, whilst also allowing HBA and Sissoko to be central where they are more influential. This is Pardew though- tactical experimentation? Maybe it's not a formation to start the game with, but possibly one to change to, bringing on the extra CB during the game to turn a result.

The one-handed save from Willian, his first meaningful save, was the best of the lot imo.

The signing of Haidara shows exactly why we should try to keep Simspon tbh. The luxury of being able to rest Santon and Debuchy (in theory, in this case), is one we can immensely benefit from. Not to mention the competition for places of course. As for last night, I thought he came in and did an ok job. He wasn't the obvious weak link in the side, and in a match like last night's that's good enough for me from a back-up fullback.
