I think this has more to it than people think.... We are in serious, serious trouble.

Does anyone reckon that the future of Newcastle United is in danger?

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/may/29/joey-barton-newcastle-united-alan-shearer Who said its up to him? Little cunt can fuck off
-
that's very true, we're due around 20 million like Ashley *stares at the ground sheepishly and kicks the dirt*: "Errrm.....about that..."
-
I cant help but get this horrible sinking feeling. Just have that gut instinct feeling that Ashley and Llambias have fucked things up big time....again.
-
And to think our players are on £50k a week (some more....much more).... Sickening, it really is.

He f***ed his leg too i think? So did Baheng. Cruciate knee ligaments

Great attitude. I'm looking forward to seeing the lad steak a claim for 8th of August. So that's: Kadar, Lua Lua, Carroll, Ranger and Krul. All very talented youngsters who seem keen to push the club on! Great to see in times like these....

I'm sorry, but next year the following will win their respective leagues: England: Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool Spain: Barcelona or Real Madrid Italy: Milan (AC or Inter) or Juve Whilst the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 may be more open, they are just as likely to have runaway leaders due to the lack of quality. See Bayern Munich / Lyon most years regarding runaway and then the Bundesliga this year with regards being so s*** no one could get around to winning it. All leagues are predictable to an extent, those that aren't, such as the Championship, are so generally because the quality is so dire no one knows who will luck out. I defy you to show me any league in the footballing world where any team could win any season as they are all quality footballing units. True, those teams listed will most likely win their domestic leagues. But what about the qualification for the Champions League places? Or UEFA Cup places? Since Everton last broke the Sky 4, I think its something like 8 different teams in Spain have qualified for it. The Premiership is a boring league. The only unpredictable aspect about it is the relegation battles you get. But even then, that cant say much? (Especially if its always the newly promoted teams down there)

Fair point. You never know, maybe the two clowns are interested in rebuilding the club and moving it forward. But I doubt it.
-
stevie t sticking his oar in for the captains armband, doing a bit of crawly bum lick Well, in fairness, so would I!
-
Best league in the world? No. Best paced and quality league in the world? Probably. Most competitive league in the world? Not a chance. Most predictable? Bar Scotland it's up there.

No offence, but you just made that all up didn't you? We have no idea what is happening, for all we know the club could be just working out the details of Shearer's deal/demands. This is a big decision, it's only been a couple of days, give them a chance FFS. No offence, but mind your neb. I'm saying what I think is happening going off past preformances by the GOONS in charge. Sorry but they DO have previous. I just believe in criticising people for things they've actually done, rather than stuff that exists only in my imagination. Yeah we have last season to go off as an example. KK pissed around with these c***s for 3 days before conceding he couldn't get through to them what makes you think this is any different? Well yeah, I'm not saying they didn't do things wrong before, so fair enough criticise them for that. There was claim and counter-claim with KK as well, we still don't know who was really at fault. All I'm saying is don't slag them off for f***ing things up with Shearer when nothing has happened yet. Aye! Why would anyone not trust Mike Ashley and Derek Llambias? So what's your point? I've never said we should just trust them, and I've admitted they've made massive errors that they deserve criticism for. Was just pullin' ya leg, mate. Personally, I don't trust them one bit. And, although Shearer could still well sign for us, it would be less of a surprise to me if they fucked it up and Shearer walks...

He came through their youth didn't he? Also, was it not rumoured SPurs were sniffing around Ranger in Jan? Sure I remember whisperings of £1m being mooted. He did.
-
What on earth is taking them so long?! They were in talks for something like 8 hours yesterday. Surely that's enough time to come to an agreement or even take a big step closer. It's not like Ashley has to sort out compensation etc. Please Alan, stay with us!

Am saving up to buy a long sleeve one of the new home....
-
Apparently we're 8/1 to sign Beckford! Interesting one, that.
-
So you're happy for the club to rip off fellow supporters? Not like they are forcing anyone to buy it. Aye. Newcastle fans are well known for lapping up shirts and merchandise like there's no tomorrow. If we didn't buy such excess amounts, they probably wouldn't make them...

Adopted Shamrock Rovers as my second team about 5 years ago. Ireland's number one club.

Lets take a step back here and look at the whole picture; why has Xisco never been given a proper chance? I know he's had his niggling injuries but.... Is it because he wasn't any of the managers signings? Does his attitude stink? Or is he simply not good enough? We're not the ones seeing him on the training pitch every day. So if Kinnear, Houghton and Shearer all don't see it fit to play him, then maybe he really isn't good enough. Personally, I hope we keep him and give him a proper chance to prove himself. We're better off keeping him and getting 10+ goals from him than selling him for piss all.
