And no think why we're in this position...
-
Aye. But when your clubs just been relegated your not really in the mood for a laugh.
-
Who said we've hit rock bottom?
-
We would put them up for sale I would imagine. Just get whatever we can for them to get them off the wage bill. Agreed. But look at it this way- 200k a week off the wage bill when Owen and Viduka leave. That will be a hefty financial weight off the clubs shoulders, imo.

Mint- especially the home one

Nice one, Duffer. Its not his fault. Yes, it was terribly cruel on the lad but we should never have been in htat position in the first place. Good to see a bit of desire and loyalty for once...

Normally I get a fair bit of stick from my mates but I think everyone knows what football and Newcastle mean to me, so I didn't get any grief. Got a coupla texts after the game saying "Head up, mate" etc. And then this morning they all showed a fair bit of sympathy towards me which was nice. They all support Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool, so....

I must say, thats very, very poor journalism. Very poor. There was one fan crying who was repeatedly shown, and, at the end of the video, it showed the fans clapping and chanting "Shearer, Shearer!". FFS!
-
Ryan Taylor? he's s****, yeah but is at least capable of doing a job in that position, Edgar cant even pass the ball man, spent the entire game looking like a little lost sheep I can guarentee you that R.Taylor would have done no better (probably worse) than Edgar today. Edgar's a good CB, but not a RB.

Our home attendances are anybodies guess. But I'm more than confident that we'll pack all the away ends we travel to. But back to St.James'- I think we'll get roughly 40k.

This really is NUSC's big chance to do something. If they are serious about helping this club then they will try and do something in regards to a takeover.
-
Lets hope Andy Carroll is given the nod to step in and play a big part for us next year.
-
It made me cry seeing him so hurt like that. Firstly, because hes an absolute legend and himself and Dowie are the only ones who actually give a fuck about this club, and also, seeing someone like him hurt so much really hammered home the fact that we've just been relegated. Please Alan, stay with us.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, NO!!!!! This cant have happened! Fuck off, like! Oh christ I cant believe this is happening. What the fuck did we do to deserve this?!
-
We need to get the managerial situation sorted out as soon as possible, first.
-
Its a horrendously unpredictable league. That's your best description of it. Much more competitive than the PL.

I......I really dont know what to say. I feel sick. I feel devastated but most of all, let down. The only thing that kept me from being inconsoluble at the final whistle was seeing those fans. They were out of this world.....the best in the world, in fact. Relegation could be seen from a mile off, but nonetheless its still impossible to come to terms with the fact that NEWCASTLE UNITED have been relegated from the Premiership. I'm convinced this is a bad dream.....it cant be true, it just cant!!! I was streaming tears after full time but I've stopped now- my minds rejecting the idea of relegation. It hasn't sunk in yet but when it does.... What kills me the most is the uncertainty of the clubs long term future. If Shearer isn't appointed and we're not promoted within two seasons, I really will fear for this clubs life.
-
Good man, Mick. I'll be watching them next season whatever the case!
-
This is fucking it, boys! Im so nervous, I wish I was going. Its a killer but in a way really gets you going! Lets hope we can for once have luck on our side today. But look at it this way- It could be worse. We could have to go to Anfield, Stamford Bridge or Old Trafford to get something. So it could be worse.... TOOON TOOOON
-
Thinking about it makes me feel abit sick tbh, although i fully expect to feel nothing if we go down tomorrow, I honestly dont think it will sink in until the new seasons kick off in the Championship and Premier League. It will be very strange next season viewing the Prem as an outsider. Aye (especially the last bit)...
-
I don't want to say too much but I think we'll sneak a draw. Whether that keeps us up I haven't a clue...
-
it's like the first time you go to wembley...afterwards you think "was that it ?" Never been to Wembley! Never experienced it either but honestly, we move on. It'll be awful but the club doesn't stop existing and it's not the end of the world. Because I've been resigned to it for a few weeks now I suppose I'm different but I really can't wait to just get it over with and crack on next season. Fair answer. I'm kind of in the same boat as you as well, Dave. Relegation doesn't just come out of the blue- you can normally see it come from a mile off and that's how its been for us.
-
I've never experienced relegation. What does it feel like? Like....how long does it take for it to sink in and for you to get over it?
-
Agreed. One of the few gems this club has picked up in recent years.
-
I've never seen Forster play, but I'd have to say Krul- based on what I've heard.
