Of the McAtee, Elliot, Gallagher rumours who would everyone prefer? I like McAtee but Gallagher is fully ready now and has the physicality for Howe’s system.

I know recruitment has been frustrating but the quality of the individuals we’ve brought in is superb. This kid seems to get it, I thought he was overpriced but hopefully we’ll be talking about an £80m player next season. I’m willing him on.

Hope he goes to Chelsea, just to piss off Delap and Joao Pedro.

He was a fine PL striker, eye for goal, fast and strong and occasionally quite audacious. Shame he couldn’t get to 50 PL goals but he was there when we needed him in a pivotal time for the club. 🫡

Would rather McAtee than Elliot.

No issue with DCL coming in but the optics need to be right. Announce him to little fanfare after the signings of Jonathan David, Xavi Simons, Elanga, Dibling, Diomande and Akliouche.

We know Burn, Schar, Botman even Lascelles and Krafth can do a job at CB. We know Murphy can do a job at RW and Barnes or Gordon can cover. We’ve got nothing up front outside of Isak. I think Osula is a striker but most on here think he’s a RW too. Either way he’s totally untested as a PL/CL starter. A striker is a must in this window.

Striker is arguably now the most pressing position. We are hugely under resourced for a CL campaign but we could make do in every other area. We need a second striker desperately.

There was always some nagging doubt about his personality despite his talent. A bullet dodged, we need someone who’ll run through brick walls for the team (or just for fun like Joelinton).

It would give earlier clarity so we could move on to other targets. Whether it’s true or not we look sluggish and a little amateurish.

They probably would but there’s more risk and they’ve got the financial muscle to go straight to the ‘proven PL’ category. Although their scattergun approach covers every type of player in every league and age group.

Highly rated PL players have other suitors with deeper pockets. We’re not ready yet to start picking up the best players from the likes of Brighton, Brentford etc. without the ESL clubs sniffing around. I wish we’d move on and look to the continent where there’s more value. Let all of these chumps join the Chelsea circus.

Is Elanga better than Madueke? I really rate him and he’s probably available a bit cheaper than Elanga.

I never get too attached to players, probably goes all the way back to getting burned by Waddle/Gazza/Beardsley but Carroll to Liverpool broke my heart. If any blue chip players leave they need to go abroad.

Of the crew we seem to be linked with (Pedro, Elanga, Trafford etc.) this is the one I’m least bothered about. I really can’t see what the fuss is about with this bloke.
