  1. Other clubs do transfers?
  2. Bit of a come down this.
  3. Delap was always opportunistic; relegated club, player available. We’ve tracked the other two for 3/4 years. I’d hope we have some actual targets.
  4. If we are going to low ball every offer it’s going to be a long summer. I get the negotiation bit but when targets are in high demand from multiple suitors you’ve got to move quickly.
  5. This bloke’s nailed on for Spurs, it’s getting tedious now. Bring in some young thruster from the Belgian league that no cunts ever heard of.
  6. Meh, the key thing is to keep hold of Isak and them buying Ekitike would rule them out. We all love the idea of spending big on an exciting European prospect but there’s no guarantee he’s going to be a success and it’s a lot of money. I’d be happy with him but I’m not worried if Liverpool are spooked into buying him.
  7. I think we get this done now despite Liverpool sniffing around half heartedly, bigger question is can we keep hold of Isak.
  8. If anything us flirting with Ekitike (meeting agents, talking to EF) is likely to encourage Liverpool as they think we are lining up Isak’s replacement.
  9. If it was insinuated that he’d get offered a new contract then maybe that’s the source of some dissatisfaction rather than a desire to join Liverpool. Plough the Longstaff fee into improved terms and lock him down.
  10. At this stage just hand over the negotiations to Osula. Get him to draft the fuck off email to Liverpool anarl.
  11. Times like this we could really do with the training kit sponsor and other revenue streams getting turned on - give us a bit more financial muscle.
  12. Just call Liverpool’s bluff - offer the 85m EUR release clause (around 73m GBP).
  13. A fairly unremarkable but well drilled Liverpool team won the league last season. There’s nothing to say they will do it again any time soon. A couple of seasons ago we finished above them. Isak needs to know we have the ambition to be above them every season.
  14. Can’t see why he would want to leave tbh, nothing to say we can’t challenge Liverpool next season, they got a lot of new players to bed in and have a reliance on an ageing Salah. Surely Isak is enthused about linking up with Elanga etc. He’ll also be offered a pay rise and perhaps a promise that we won’t stand in his way next season if a continental giant approaches him. There’s so much we can do here - Liverpool isn’t a massive upgrade at all in my opinion.
  15. They’ll always be above us if we bend over and sell them our best player. Time to grow some balls.
  16. Yeah I thought being owned by PIF would put to bed our best players getting picked off by ‘bigger’ clubs. If PIF sell Isak they can get in the bin.
  17. Fucking hell, cheery lot in here….. anyone got DCL’s number?
  18. I agree but Ekitike is the next best thing - although he does involve some risk especially at that price. If Isak’s not for sale, which is what we are being told, then the chance of us also bringing in Ekitike may just be too much for them. Whats more likely next season? A. Isak (NUFC) Ekitike (LFC) B. Isak (NUFC) Ekitike (NUFC) C. Isak (LFC) Ekitike (NUFC)
  19. Ekitike will end up at Liverpool, our approach will make them move even if they weren’t 100% sure. I’m relaxed about that, we only need players who really want to come.
  20. Probably about £10m more than the Joao Pedro deal. We’ll still bring in Trafford and a CB IMO.
  21. Surely Liverpool will have to step in eventually, some of their delusional fans think we would sell Isak if Ekitike came in but I think the club know Isak is untouchable this summer. I just hope we’ve got a back up plan because these drawn out transfer sagas are only worthwhile if we get our man.
  22. Arsenal fans probably the worst I’ve met in person. I’m talking about at a match or travelling to and from. The most arrogant and entitled fans I’ve met by far.
