  1. Did anyone see Rafa get irritated in his post-match interview? He never ceases to amaze me how much s**t he actually has in him. Some of the crackers, from http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,13865_4849020,00.html , include: Yes, Rafa, because with 1 striker (who was barely fit himself), and our 2 best midfielders out, we're going to be stupid enough to go all guns blazing. Right oh, attacking maestro. Erm... now you're confusing me. After rambling on about how we play? Aye. You've never employed cagey tactics have you, oh wise one? Now you've really stumped me here, Rafa. You don't want to talk about this... but you've just given an interview on it? Give it to Gerrard or Torres, everyone else: run about for a bit. The day's events were rounded off by Moyes' deliciously sly dig: Guess poor Rafa's not pleased about not beating an under-strength "small club" such as Everton, with his strongest team. Bless.
  2. And we're going to go to Liverpool and attack? You're really tempting me to pick apart the rest of your post.

    The Mackems Game

From the outside, this will be a game where people could really realise how much trouble Newcastle are in. Personally I think you'll win. The thing is though, if not a performance, passion would get you through to a win in similar games in the past. Does the team have that same passion? If you don't win, it might sink in to outsiders that it really is a desperate time. Imo, it'll simply be the team that plays less badly that wins. Could be a right slog.
  4. To be honest quklaani, you've been favourites for a while, imo. Have Liverpool once this season convinced you as being anything more than title challengers, hanging around near the top due to scraping out results in an infinitely unconvincing fashion, combined with deservedly dropping points due to numerous lacklustre performances? In my (admitedlly biased) eyes, the answer is no. Even before the Rafa rant, a Liverpool supporting friend of mine asked me to put my general thoughts about Liverpool to one side and objectively think about whether they could seriously win the league. And aye, I thought twice about it. The answer was still no.
  5. Yes because De Jong is going to suddenly make them defensively sound. I can see Newcastle leading here at some point. That's all I'm going to say
  6. Amongst fans with common sense, most appreciate there are a fair few who dive. Only recently have the mass media started realising this though, and in particular picking up on the biggest culprit of them all, Steven Gerrard.
  7. Whilst some of the comments are laughable, it's just further proof that every club's supporters has its fair share of utter mongs.
  8. Does Kinnear enjoying p***ing in public or something? Why, why, why, oh why is he talking about specific sums and the details of the transfer as it goes along, in public? Am I the only one to find this ridiculously unprofessional?
  9. I try to be articulate with my thoughts, and I realise we only drew, but........ F**k Liverpool F**k their pathetic attempt at a title challenge F**k relying on Gerrard all the time F**k their defensive tactics F**k playing s**te pretty much all season yet somehow being in the title race F**k their pathetic support walking out at 1-1. F**K THEM!!!!!
  10. If our players were as happy, fit, motivated and well managed as stated in the OP, we'd still be better. Give over No levels of happiness, fitness and motivation will make the likes of Guthrie, Enrique and Barton anything more than half-decent. You could have picked so many others who have been much worse tbh. Which is my point. Those are supposed to be the some ok players.
  11. I'll admit I got some players wrong, but for the majority of positions, I'd want an NUFC player to replace that current play at Everton, under the superb management of Moyes. Likewise with Villa and O'Neill. Might PM you with that bit about replacing Everton players. I'd find it interesting to see your thoughts about our players, because tbh it'd be pretty close really.
  12. If our players were as happy, fit, motivated and well managed as stated in the OP, we'd still be better. Give over No levels of happiness, fitness and motivation will make the likes of Guthrie, Enrique and Barton anything more than half-decent.
  13. You honestly think Jagielka is the worst defender out of those 10 players, James? Admiteddly you posted that in August. But even then. That's very worrying. Same with Arteta.

    Here's one.

Discussing Newcastle with my parents earlier. Now I don't have a clue if they're in the minority when they said this, but... I offered them 2 scenarios, out of pure hypothetical interest. Scenario 1: Sunderland finish 5th, Newcastle finish 6th Scenario 2: Newcastle finish 17th, Sunderland finish 18th. They both much preferred Scenario 2. Am I the only one to find that absurd, and basically saying "I'd rather see Sunderland do badly, than Newcastle do well"?
  15. I hate Grimsby. They're s**t.... apart from when I bet against them. Some of my failed bets this season include: Grimsby getting their first win of the season away to high-flying Bury. Grimsby getting a draw at Aldershot (very annoying considering Aldershot's brilliant home record). Grimsby winning at Wycombe yesterday. Bet your bottom dollar as soon as I bet ON them, they'll f**k up. And Wycombe f***ed up against whoever they were playing in the FA Cup. Basically, I don't know why I bet on League 2 games.

    Penalties

    But sadly, it isn't.
  17. Joe's knowledge of the workings of the transfer market reaches new heights.
  18. His body language today when Barton was ruffling feathers was understandably one of "I've had enough of this". Doesn't look good.

    Wankers.

    Despicable act if true, aye.

    Rob Styles

It doesn't matter whether you know him or not, the normal human being, seeing that picture, would still want to punch him. A few times.
  21. By the way. what about Alves' outside-of-the-foot cross for Henry's goal? Jesus christ man, it's insane. Apologies to Deportivo, but I hope Barca don't take their foot off the gas.
  22. What is perhaps sometimes not mentioned enough is that behind the technical skill and brilliance of Barca, they are a team of very athletic players, with great fitness. The players don't always have options around them by magic. Physically dominant on the ball. This is utter torture for Depor.
  23. A team of superstars can indeed work, if they have the togetherness and team spirit. Seeing it in action though is mesmerising. You can't help but want Barcelona to win when they're like this - feel sorry for the opposition teams, they just seem like an annoying obstacle in front of the goal
  24. On the same wavelength there Kaizero
  25. Ner ner ner, I could have scored that. I'm better than Messi.
