All bias aside, please tell me I'm not the only one who's dumbfounded by how much luck Liverpool get. It's getting ridiculous.

If Zoggy is behind Duff then it has to be as a wing back not a full back.. -------------Given ----Tayls----Colo-----Bass Beye-----------------------Zoggy --------Guth------Barton Jonas-----------------------Duff --------------Martins Thing is with that 3-5-2/5-3-2 formation, there's a danger the wingers and the full backs will clash, essentially having 2 people in the same area when only one is needed, and thus leaving a hell of a lot of space. Alternatively I suppose it could work if the wing backs are adept. It just seems that in that case Duff and Jonas would have to come inside more, when surely their greatest attributes are best performed in wider positions?

Half-time came at the wrong time. You must have been pleased by the response to going 1-0 down, it was a strong one and a fully deserved equaliser came about. I thought at the time though, "Why aren't Newcastle going for a second?", because Sunderland were rattled. In the end, the result came down to a very well taken free kick. To change, well, I think it rests with the players. They need to take some of the responsibility, they should surely be able to come together and produce a better performance than the s**t that was offered in the 2nd half yesterday. Surely?

It wasn't a poor challenge at all. He wins the ball and barely touches Ronaldo with his trailing leg. What a team of cheating c***s they are. I still haven't seen it; my friend tells me PN's a legend for it despite his lack of any sort of footballing ability. Is it that good?
-
The only real comment I have to make about yesterday was that what was, I'm sure, a great day for Sunderland, was overshadowed by their club looking like a laughing stock due to that cringeworthy pitch invasion. They've made themselves look like a smaller club than they already were.
-
I can certainly relate to this concern. It's beyond me how my team, and indeed your team, are unable to provide some fairly basic movement, to keep an attack going, to keep the ball moving. We're not talking 20 quick passes followed by an overhead kick. It's a case of giving options so that random hoofs upfield are minimised, and some simple passes can be made so that the opposition have at least something to worry about. I'd have thought this sort of thing was one of the first things a footballer would learn. Obviously not. I suppose it's the culture you're brought up in.

I'd see all this stuff about Sunderland fans gloating so much when they win, as a sign they clearly know Newcastle are a bigger club.

The Man City prediction was unfair? Christ, not every piece of journalism slates Newcastle at every given opportunity. A lot of Lawro's predictions for Newcastle this season from what I've seen have been fair. And no, I don't like him at all.
-
Won a small amount on a Chelsea/Barca double, still typical though: predicted 1-1 for Liverpool and I thought "nah, don't waste your money". (Newcastle will win 2-1 at the weekend. I won't put a bet on it. Will it work?)

As his boots slowly absorbed the chlorophyll, Martins got the tickles from a random 'getty images' sign attacking his region.

To steal BBC's phrase, whats wrong with Europe's defenders tonight?

Get in Batty! Got to love the Borisov. I'm 100% behind Cluj this season, fantastic achievement by them, impressive rise from the lower leagues. As much as I like minnows, I'm considering never betting again. Getting beyond a joke now!

Now I don't enjoy the best of luck, but this is getting silly. BATE 1-0 up in Russia...

Anyone got any CL/Football league bets on they'd like to share? Already Zenit are pissing on my accumulator at half time.

Thread started September 26th, mate. I've always said that of he can get this bunch of players to perform we should give him an extension. Obviously, if we're bought out that might change something (it also might not, if Kinnear has the team performing). Pointless to change managers if things are looking up. If it ain't broke... if he is doing well at the end of this initial tenure then i wouldnt be against extending it for the season. but i wouldnt go beyond that, personally. he is thriving on the adversity and the tempestuous situation here, building a siege mentality of 'every fucker is out to get us' just as he did at Wimbledon. when everything has calmed down and is stable again i'd rather we go and look for a new manager. As an outsider this seems to be the most accurate one, or at least what I'd want. To write the man off regardless of results is plain worrying imo.

Can we have some appreciation for helping to give you confidence? Its all down to JFK God damnit, when will Moyes get the credit he deserves for cracking out the ol' self-destruct panel? Man Utd next - most likely another chance to see it in operation.

Aye his one game in the 5 years he was there was a show stopper. Bruno N'Gotty has a better CV: Milan (34 games), Lyon, PSG, Marseille & now on loan at Hereford!!!! Sigh, Villarreal then or whichever other side he was at.

Get this club sorted out and he will be an absolute gem. I wouldn't really call him a gem in the sense of unearthing an unknown player. Anyone who's played for Milan, Deportivo (including when they were good) and Argentina on a regular basis is bound to be a good player. For me it's merely a case of maintaining the standard that his career has shown he has.
-
hows that like? or are you just taking the piss? He's got a point. Rescinding it would make Poll look like a daft t**t. And sadly, this pathetic organisation that apparently runs football in this country, who are supposed to give fair judgements on things like this, will be scared and there's a good chance it won't be rescinded. Which would be pathetic.

Credit to him for providing that moment of magic for the 1st goal tbh. People may question the fortune regarding the deflections beforehand, but the face control from Duff was elegant, meaning the defender was too slow to react, and what can I say about the finish. Accurate, deadly, and indeed got so much power on it he lost his footing. Wonderful stuff.

Good challenge. Imo purposefully was more aggressive than he needed to be, but it wasn't particularly dangerous so there's nowt wrong.

Is it going to improve the worst education system in the country, or do you think they'll concentrate on sex eduction to make sure that Hull isn't top of the "league table" for mothers under the age of 16? Why on earth do you think the city needs the football club to be in the Premiership? It's a rugby city, and always will be. Well, there you go.
