  1. Thought Sherwood's comments were pretty funny really. The results have been similar to AVB's. Generally scraping victories against teams below them and getting thoroughly outclassed by teams above them. He's done alright with them given his lack of experience. Not that that represents progress currently for Spurs, they obviously need a better manager if they're going to get back into the Champions League anytime soon.

Yup. Thought it was pretty disgraceful really, favourable draw to get to an FA Cup semi final and he has their 3 best players on the bench. Against a Hull side missing their in-form strike partnership. Criminal stuff.
  3. Can add that to the infinite list of terrible refereeing decisions recently.
  4. Absolutely agree. Regardless of the quality he has to work with, he has done what most said wasn't possible - improve Bayern.
  5. Very harsh scoreline today but that's what can happen if you mess up a couple of good chances at key moments. Same old story, played well but not well enough to actually get a result. I'm willing to give Martinez time but recent away results (yes, against good sides) have been a similar scenario with the exception of the derby - playing well but getting punished for not taking chances. Worrying trait. On the plus side, Barkley came up with a big performance which he needed I thought. Clear as day he's going to be top quality, providing he doesn't get any particularly bad injuries or owt. Another season of fighting for 6th it is then.

Didn't Rochemback score an absolute screamer as well from 35 yards to rub it in?
  7. GW 29 West Brom 0-2 Man Utd Cardiff 1-2 Fulham Crystal Palace 1-1 Southampton Norwich 1-0 Stoke Chelsea 2-1 Spurs
  8. I'll bow to better judgement on Cheltenham. Know a decent amount and I'll have a few stakes but I'm sure plenty on here will be far more in the know. Luckily I've a few friends who are massively into their horses so will be keen to see what they're going with. I know one is very, very keen on Trifolium in the Arkle. My manager is going down for the whole week, what a twat.
  9. Right, after laying low for a few days, it's time to win some money again.
  10. TCD - Baines has done little to earn an "automatic" position in a team of the year. Fact he was injured for a little while aside, he's not hit the heights of the previous couple of years. 2 mitigating factors in that are the drop-off of Pienaar's form, and Coleman's development into full-blown Cafu mode which has meant we've utilised the right flank. Still think Baines is class and obviously a brilliant asset to have, but this season Shaw or Azpilicueta, in a LB position, have done more to impress IMO.

Lambert is a lot more what we need than Crouch like. I err, agree?

While there is obviously a need for grass roots reform and so on, I think currently we should take advantage of the fact we have good young forward thinking players in our squad. Lallana, Barkley, Sturridge, Sterling, Ox, Wilshere provide me with hope for the future. We're not a possession side, but we have good young talent coming through. Let's utilise that and play to their strengths. That starts with Sturridge playing in his best position.

Thought Lallana booked his place with that cameo yesterday. Did far more than most others who played far longer
  15. Steered clear of any football bets since Sunday. No point going looking for a bet when there simply isn't much there. Drumming up an interest in a few teams you know little about without any particularly compelling stats to back them up and you're becoming the bookies' perfect customer. I've been guilty of that plenty of times in the past, that's for sure. With that said good luck to anyone having a bet tonight, getting a bet up on international friendlies night is a feat.
  16. Got rid of Suarez last week thinking he hadn't done much and could free up some money.
  17. Kanji and Zico sitting in a tree P - R - O - N - T - O - N - I - S - E
  18. Really good goal from Swansea.
  19. I'll probably steal that. For me the main one of interest will be the market I'm betting on. For example, I'm having a lot of success recently betting not on the result of a game but goals - usually over 1.5 team goals. Also been covering a lot of my bets which helps.
  20. Seriously, it sounds crazy but it happens. I was only comfortable posting my latest double in here once I was able to cover it to guarantee profit. Ash, I've not got round to making a full spready but I would say key info would be stake, odds, bet selection, and a major one for me: bet market.
  21. They are. In fact I'd say they're one of the worst teams to watch in the league.
