    You don't want to know.

    Arsene Wenger

I'm not saying Wenger should be sacked, but he should be open to criticism (just like any manager) for what many people believe to be questionable decisions. You can appreciate the tremendous work he's done for them while also seeing flaws in him becoming increasingly clear. His apparent reluctance to address blindingly obvious flaws in his team has been startling. They generated a massive amount of money through the Fabregas and Nasri sales; he used some of that money to get Gervinho and Arteta and settled for Mertesacker and already questionable, young players at the back. It's not like money wasn't there. Yesterday's future is today's present. I can see why "cretins" are justifiably getting pissed off with him. Injuries are just short-term excuses for a team who've failed time and time again in recent seasons because they have no backbone; no spine.

Good thing Willian's an attacking midfielder, then!
  4. Similar situation with a lad at work. Booked a flight for his son to come over for the game, it'd be the first time he's seen him in nearly a year. Suffice to say he is absolutely fucking fuming.
  5. Marseille can fuck right off. Had a 5 fold on, they were the last one I checked. AET win as well just to rub it in.
  6. We got it a lot when we finished 4th (ha! remember when that happened?). Couldn't wait for us to fall off the pace.
  7. Sky need to package something like that so that they can try to deliver some sort of compelling rhetoric. It can't just be good teams and appreciating them for what they are, or indeed what they aren't - it's the TOP 2, 4, 6, 7, whatever you want to use. They're portraying certain clubs as being in the "power positions" for lack of a better term, so that when someone comes along - Spurs, now perhaps Newcastle to a lesser extent - they can report on how dramatic it is that someone is penetrating the group of teams they've built up as being too good to be caught. It's an endless cycle. They're very clingy to the idea of there being an elite, and it's pretty disgusting if you ask me.
  8. No, we'll never 'know' whether it was deliberate as only he knows, but it sure as hell looked like it was intentional. His foot moves in a completely unnatural way towards Parker. That's not how you accidentally stumble after losing balance.
  9. 41 points before bonus. I'm completely giving up on the bonus points system if Valencia and Mata both don't get any, which I have a bad feeling they'll somehow not.

How are Chelsea ahead of Spurs in your mind, let alone Man Utd?
  11. Groningen won, Milan and Udinese both 2-0 up. Rest of the games are later on. It's the hope that hurts. Your hcp's will cost you. Yup, probably. Both one goal wins no doubt. Braga 2-0 up, decide to concede in injury time.
  12. As for the results, IMO having other teams slip up doesn't for one second excuse an abysmal 2nd half performance but it's something to be relieved about. Goes to show that top 6 is very realistic, as is staying well above 8th.

  15. And the "desperately attempting to cling onto any sort of relevance" award goes to...
  16. That'd be hilarious! Double substitution! Can you imagine it?!?!
  17. What about next weekend? Does not compute.
  18. I thought he should have gone like, it looked completely unnatural. Very lucky boy to stay on the pitch.
  19. Balotelli should have been off like. Your foot doesn't naturally hit the floor like that; Parker was fortunate not to get a very nasty blow.

  21. I've been trying to give Savic a chance, but my word, what a liability.
  22. Outstanding 2nd half of football. Spurs never deserved to lose it but it was reckless as fuck from King.
