    Other clubs' transfers

I know he's not a player we'd ever sign now (unless on a free), but how much do you reckon Man U would demand? Philippe Albert's head.
  2. Not sure it was winding him up, to me he just seemed bizarrely interested. "My, my, just look at that placement. My word."
  3. Been impressed with Betis like, don't deserve to be behind overall. Barca need to up it or they'll drop more points here.
  4. Barcelona concede for the first time this season at home in the league.
  5. It's scary how easy they make it look.
  6. You're being kind, it's been wank. Barca are on in 10 minutes.
  7. The main commentator bloke on bet365 who does Italian football is insane. Seems to explode whenever there's a throw-in or a shot off target.

    Sunderland...

Translation: "Wish we had a player in central midfield who came anywhere close to Cabaye's quality."
  10. But I heard all the opposition keepers have conspired to produce the games of their lives against Liverpool at Anfield, not that it's a case of Liverpool consistently producing shit finishing? It's almost as though they're not as good as they think they are. Shocking.
  11. Inter are recovering strongly after a disastrous start and could go 'only' 5 points behind Milan with a win, which is pretty good going considering the first couple of months. Milan have a chance to go 2 points clear at the top after Juve's slip up. Should be good.
  12. Inspired transfer like. Look at that, 6.1m, getting a fair few goals, decent player to have has a 3rd striker. TRANSFER IN http://www.kilburntimes.co.uk/polopoly_fs/yakubu_1_1088457!image/1393084778.jpg_gen/derivatives/landscape_490/1393084778.jpg GETS SENT OFF
  13. I hope he bloody well does because Yakubu's my 1st sub.
  14. I know what I mean. I thought he was right to do it really, just to see the game through. He probably saw QPR were shit but saw you were playing fairly shit as well, why risk giving QPR more space? Either way it's minor details, the fact remains QPR were abhorrent and you pretty much had them at arm's length.
  15. I've mucked up my wildcard unless Silva (who might not even be fit) and Richards do a fair bit tomorrow. What was with Sturridge not even playing a single minute yesterday?

    Sunderland...

We should put a cheeky bid in just for a laugh. FM-esque. Just hoy in a bid of a tenner and a day out at the Baltic, and keep adding extra tidbits on until he's unsettled.

    Shola Ameobi

Can I assume that, while he's an absolute horror show of a Premier League footballer, the main gripe people have with him is seeing him stroll around the pitch, not even chasing down a loose ball - a ball he probably lost?
  18. I thought it was a good move. For whatever reason, you were playing poorly and I think Pardew wanted to cut his losses and just ensure you didn't concede, and to his credit you didn't look like doing so. Whilst they were unlikely to score, we looked at our worst when he tried to 'close it out'. Baffling decision IMO. Personally I thought it was a good move in the sense of it gave QPR no encouragement whatsoever. I'm not saying in every game you should look to shut up shop but I thought you were poor today and Pardew may have just thought, well, may as well make sure nothing untoward goes on at the other end, and it didn't. You looked very safe; helped by QPR's lack of any cutting edge, I know. As you put it earlier: poor game, awful opposition, 3 points, and that's the bottom line 'cos Stone Cold Alan Pardew said so.

    Sunderland...

Credit to O'Neill, he's galvanised them and they've improved - frankly they were hard pushed not to considering what Bruce was serving up. However, let's look at it: they got a win over Man City where the winning goal was a mile offside after Man City had been far superior throughout, their win against Blackburn now doesn't seem to mention the fact they got 2 huge decisions wrongly go their way (early penalty, bizarrely disallowed goal), and their other 2 wins came against arguably the worst 2 sides in the league (fair play, they put Wigan's awful defence to the sword). Also, when they point out Osman's penalty which of course never should have been one, they fail to mention the absolute fluke that was their goal. They've improved, and that's about it. They'll probably finish about where they are now, maybe sneak into the top 10. You'll without doubt finish ahead of them, it's just a matter of how far ahead.

  21. David, I'm not sure what it is, but when both of us bet, I always seem to lose. I seem to remember you hadn't bet much in the first couple of weeks this year, and I've been doing really well. You place some fair size bets this weekend, and it's been a stinker for me.
  22. If and when their home form deserts them they're in big trouble. For all their good football and strong home record so far, they're only 6 points above the bottom 3 with a long, long way to go.
