  1. A whole £15 on -1. Will contemplate further investment later. Sorry everyone, btw.

    Alan Pardew

Given the circumstances, I don't know what would be gained by actively setting out to be against Pardew. No, he doesn't seem very likeable but surely you have to back him, if only to support the players? Like Ashley would care if people don't like Pardew.
  3. Messi. Best player in the world. It'll go to Xavi or Iniesta, I think.
  4. "Look lads, we're 1-0 down. I've given this some thought and what we need to do, yeah, in order to get back into this match, yeah, is score a goal."
  5. Albert's goal was class, great technique!
  6. It was ridiculous watching it. Exactly the same as watching the first team, still had like 77% possession or something crazy. That's kinda the idea, all of our sides play the exact same football, from top to bottom. I just had a vision of us playing Inter again in the next round, by the way. Surely Benítez will have been sacked by that time and they'll be good again though. Hope not. Can't have him only sort of destroying Inter. Complete dismantlement required.
  7. I've heard Martin Jol's a football manager, can anyone move to confirm or deny this suggestion?
  8. No no nooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!! My source is Brown.
  9. Just saw that, TT. Cracking out the classic word - 'warchest'.
  10. Scaling the stadium to kick the Sports Direct signs whenever you score.
  11. As if Ashley knows who Temuri Ketsbia is. He probably thinks it's a curry.
  12. David or Dermot? Look, Mike, really need an answer off you now. *silence*
  13. Jol would be an upgrade on Hughton; not that it condones the disgraceful treatment of Hughton.

  15. I'd like Baba to write a poem about Hughton.
  16. Was he supposed to be the answer long-term? I didn't think he was, I must say. The impression I got was his key objectives were to firstly to stabilise the club and get everyone pulling in the right direction, which he did. Secondly, gain promotion from the CCC, which he did at a canter. And thirdly, avoid relegation and establish you in the PL once more, which he seemed to be doing. The situation can be 'saved' if a solid appointment (Jol) is made but that doesn't seem likely. Hence, it is an appalling decision.
  17. "There's only one way to find out!" Hopefully for Ashley the way is 'stab myself to death'. A slightly worrying yet still amusing edit.
