  1. At least we get to see Chelsea's 1-0 thrashing now.
  2. Tonight raised an issue, for me, with the Barton and Fellaini incidents. Very similar - lashed out, both were red card offences. One is seen, the other isn't. It just seems, I dunno, so amateurish that such a potentially match changing moment is determined by whether the ref was facing the right way. Did either of the linesmen see the Barton jab/punch?
  3. That could apply to a few games tonight really, by the sounds of it.
  4. The state of the league table, blimey. 1 point from 6th to 13th. I'm assuming your 1 point cushion over 6th is too big to catch at this moment in time.
  5. BECKFORD WTF THAT WAS FUCKING AMAZING!!!!
  6. We're getting a job done on us here. Fellaini off, yay.
  7. Could only listen for the first 15 minutes, we were poor early on. Completely dominated since, but not taken our chances. Story of our season somewhat.
  8. The stonking 3 points from yesterday takes me to 3rd in the NO league. My mate who I'm in a league with is paying the price for being a daft twat and making loads of substitutions, he's already made about 25. Not only is it costing him more points, he's screwing himself over with players he rashly takes out coming back into form. He took VDV out for reasons I don't understand, scored last night, then put Adam in as captain - Adam's benched. Love it.

    Sunderland...

They've been highly fortuitous in a lot of their games so far. But they're in no danger of going down nor do I think they'll be dragged into any serious battle. I think they'll finish around 11th and as you say, you have to question whether that's good enough considering the investment they've made in recent transfer windows.
  10. Thought Jones was a CB? A highly promising one at that.
  11. Arteta, Pienaar, Fellaini and Bily all starting. Let's end them. Plus, Saha starting in place of the Yak. Big chance for Saha - Yak's done little wrong.
  12. Have this one still running. Not worth sticking a little bit on a draw?

    Cattermole

Probably already been mentioned, but a measure of the man's recklessness/thickness is the fact he can count himself lucky he's 'only' seen red twice this season.

    The England Thread

I think it's when Andy Carroll says so. I can't be sure though.
  15. That's simply excellent. I'm sorry but..... yoink.

    Football pet hates

Just patronising commentary generally, you get it in a lot of Premier League games. Usually involving Spurs actually. I couldn't believe how much they were making it sound like we were some plucky little side when we went to WHL, and we'd dared to defy Barcelona Globetrotters.
  17. 16 points from 12 is simply not good enough. Still early in the season but it's encouraging, from our point of view. Was disappointed not to go above them on Saturday so if we don't tomorrow then I'll personally... I'll.. I'll get angry at.. I'll be.. nah, I could never get angry at Moyes. But yep, said at the start of the season I had doubts they'd be able to handle the CL and produce top 4 form in the league. Hopefully they'll finish 3rd, meaning they'll be in the EL - a place Redknapp would hate to be, apparently.
  18. Before the goals, Sunderland were just looking for the 0-0 plain and simple. Afterwards, Spurs posed little to zero threat and in the last few minutes Sunderland suddenly decided they would try and win it.
  19. Not sure why he's bothered turning up.
  20. Only saw one replay, thought it was a yellow. Definite red. Went in with one foot but made sure both were together when he made contact with the player. Fair enough, in which case if he did that, that's a red.
  21. Not sure if it's good defending from Sunderland on Bale or Bale using no intelligence in his crossing.
  22. Only saw one replay, thought it was a yellow.
