  1. straight away do you know? or do they still have the 7-10 days thing or is that only if we appeal? As far as I know, it's just straight away. But I'm not positive on that.
  2. And yeah, Disco, cards in the League Cup and FA Cup apply to the league games.
  3. Taylor against Walcott, that's just as bad as Perch, surely?
  4. Doubt it. Routledge and Guthrie will be the wingers IMO. Vuckic isn't the most mobile and has been shunted onto the wing before. Playing him in the middle of a 4-4-2 against Arsenal alongside Smith is just asking for trouble. Don't quote me on this but I've heard Alan Smith can crop up anywhere. He's also got a good engine.
  5. Dave, bless you, I've just noticed in the OP of the match threads you even put semi colons to denote where one part of the team stops and the next, e.g. midfield, begins.
  6. Lovenkrands on the LW against Arsenal would be as bad as putting Routledge in goal against Barcelona. I really hope he puts in a performance tonight, just to fucking shut you up. Moreover, I want to see Routledge in goal against Barcelona.
  7. Surely you lot should be more confident than most seem to be? Who would have seen you turning in the performance you did at Stamford Bridge, against a team on paper stronger than the team Arsenal have put out? Not to mention this time you have home advan... ok, you're at home. But come on, surely you're in with a good shout there? That said I think Arsenal will win.
  8. Szczzzczesny Eboue Djourou Koscielny Gibbs Eastmond Denilson Walcott Vela Rosicky Bendtner or something? Vela could go wide I suppose. Could be 4-4-2. WHO KNOWS!?
  9. Regarding Enrique for Spain - he doesn't play for one of the 'big' clubs in this league so you're screwed. Exactly the same with capless Arteta (preposterous how neither have been given an appearance). Mind, Enrique more so arguably. Mikel's got Xavi, Iniesta, Fabregas and others to compete with. Spain have, who, Capdevilla at LB?
  10. Arsene: It's OK Chris, I'm giving some fringe players a chance Chris: Nice one, me too. Alan, Peter, Haris, Ryan, get your gear ready, you're on tonight. 6 hours later Arsene: Here's the thing Chris. Cesc, Andrei and Sammy all randomly went shopping at the Metro Centre today, and they've got nowt to do tonight, so.... Chris: Uh-oh!

    Sunderland...

Completely forgot it was Halloween. Very busy, then!

    Sunderland...

I think I got abuse for trying that one many pages ago, as it'd already been done 6 times.
  13. Completely forgot about Routledge. That looks very feasible, ohmelads. Maybe it's just Champ Man/FM taking over my mind here but I always was hesitant to rest defenders too much. Since they don't exert themselves as much usually, I'd try to keep them the same, as a solid, consistent unit. Particularly the CBs.

    Sunderland...

It'll probably be a somewhat quiet Saturday night in the town, only for it to be more than made up for from 9am Sunday.

    Sunderland...

Gives you lot an extra hour of drinking!
  16. In which case, something like: Krul Raylor Williamson Colo Ferguson Ranger Guthrie Tiote Vuckic Xisco Lovenkrands ...? I think you've got a good shout in this match, as long as Hughton doesn't take the piss with the team too much. I reckon he'll play Lovenkrands because he'll want Carroll and Ameobi 'fresh' for Sunday.
  17. Barring injuries, play the same team as you did against Chelsea, surely?
  18. It's just the phrasing of it. "Oh aye, heard this Saturday there's gonna be an apocalypse and that."

    Ballon d'Or

Messi should walk it, yes, but I can see Sneijder getting it with him being instrumental in the treble. Messi and Mourinho, personally, but can see it being Wesley and Jose.
  20. Uh oh. If it didn't specify "to qualify", the odds they give you are normally just for 90 minutes.
  21. Anyone got some gooduns at the other end of the scale? Grounds? Sproule?
  22. It is for Birmingham to qualify and not to 'win', right?
