I think he got the attention he wanted. Getting boring.

This is some astonishing literature.

Assumed this is the point of this campaign? I doubt those behind it think it'll suddenly cause Ashley to swiftly depart on a whim, but what's wrong with at least trying to change things, or at least bring further attention to the cause? At worst, it will likely provide more public debate about it and help to highlight Ashley's total unwillingness to support any kind of on-pitch ambition. "It's unlikely to change things therefore accept the status quo" seems a pretty terrible mentality to me. Criticse the campaign if you like, but it's a form of activism in a club drowning in apathy. Yeah I don't get the issue really. Unwillingness for themselves or others to be shaken from apathy for fear of being labelled a deluded Geordie by the southern press for wanting more? Fuck knows. I actively enjoy taking people to task on the 'deluded Geordie' bollocks, not that yous need defending as such but just the quantity of media rhetoric bollocks that people actually believe about your club is pretty remarkable. Probably because they want to believe it as it fits their lazy, pre-set perception of Newcastle fans. Because level-headed fans who simply want their side to compete and show some ambition isn't a particularly amusing stereotype therefore it just isn't true. You have more patience than me I'll talk about any other club other than Newcastle these days. It's impossible Tbf, it also provides a distraction from discussing our own season, but I digress.

Best of a generally detestable bunch of teams at the top. Frustrating as fuck, though, they always find a way each year to derail their title challenge before inevitably solidifying themselves in the top 4.
-
Man City are an absolute disgrace of a football team btw. They take a mercenary, not-giving-a-shit attitude to a whole new level.
-
A day of almosts. Was a Brentford goal from £300 (what were they playing at?) and was twice about to place an in-play bet on the Man City game - one for them to score next, score as I'm placing it, and one on over 15 corners with 20 mins left - double corner as I'm putting it on. Been a great month or so overall, still prone to the odd stupid bet which I almost immediately regret but there you go. More thrilling betting stories coming soon.

Oh yeah, forgot Vermaelen was a thing that happened.

Smart finish from Tevez but pretty fucking harsh decision in the first place IMO.

Daisy Pofallor I'VE CRACKED IT!
-
He's so fucking talented, just his final ball and decision making are nowhere near good enough currently and that's the side of him we've seen mainly this season. I really hope that's just down to a lack of experience though and he'll use his struggles domestically as a positive. Tbf whenever I've seen him interviewed he actually seems like he's got his head screwed on and is pretty mature for his age.
-
I'm of this opinion. Everything about him screams flash in the pan imo. Don't really get this opinion. He probably won't do as well next year, but what about him makes you think he'll fade away majorly? He scores all sorts of goals. He's quick, good in the air, a very good finisher and scores from outside the box. If anything, that suggests to me he won't fade away given he isn't reliant on a particular type of goal or a particular style.
-
They're genuinely better without him. They have been for a good couple of years now. Sadly they've now caught onto this and realised Captain Fantastic launching diagonal 60 yard balls out of play for a throw-in and shooting from 30 yards at every opportunity doesn't work. The game against Basel earlier in the season sticks in my head - he scored a great free kick but thought that and being Mr Liverpool gave him carte blanche to shoot from anywhere; total greed.

Hamburg appear to be trying very hard to get relegated. They were fortunate last year in the playoff and heading south again this year, but as you say seems to be a result of massive instability. Still, to me anyway it's weird seeing massive clubs (in my eyes) like Hamburg and Stuttgart in 16th and 18th, albeit the latter got a win at the weekend. Paderborn unfortunately look like finishing bottom after starting so promisingly.

"Great challenges can be red cards."
-
Hope Skrtel is banned for that. Absolutely cowardly as fuck, mind not surprising.
-
Pathetic effort from Real.
-
Hope some people got on board the stupid 6/4 price for Kiev to qualify.
-
None of that defending is in any way surprising.

The Red Devil. Anyone decent with Photoshop/Paint fancy cutting that out for a profile pic? Fucking brilliant.
