They could of significantly saved on space like.

Aye, Everton have activated it with a bag of Monster Munch and a back rub from Bill Kenwright.
-
I hear he has a release clause in there.
-
The regime have been very predictable in the sense they'll usually act in a way that would put the club in a better financial position, regardless of how the fans feel about it. A release clause, especially one of the nature we have capitalised on in the past, seems unlikely to me.

Why's that?

Has anyone heard anything about a potential new contract? Would be more than content to keep him on the books, useful squad player.

Newcastle United vs Man Utd - 04/01/12 @ 8pm (live on Sky) pre-match thread

Given Sky's line-ups are usually wildly inaccurate I wouldn't worry about it. -
I think some are reading far too much into that quote, especially in isolation.

http://topnews.in/law/files/heskey300.jpg My point perfectly. Heskey gives effort. Lovenkrands and Ameobi don't I wouldn't say that like.

Bah, by all accounts southampton were bossing it until the sending off. Bastard. -
I don't want him or West Ham doing well. The former is a but pathetic really. He did positive things here, I wish him all the best.

Need ten man Southampton to score twice, apparently they had a perfectly good goal not given earlier on. Doesn't suprise me.

So many other players can be considered a star man in our side over Ben Arfa. The 'star man' Demba Ba who has been an unstoppable force in front of goal The 'star man' Fabriccio Coloccini who is an immovable object in defence, leads the organisation of our defence and helps the team build from the back. The 'star man' Tim Krul, whose top quality saves have made significant differences to whether we win draw or lose. The 'star man' Cheick Tiote who has broken down passing move after passing move consistently for 18 months. The 'star man' Yohan Cabaye who completely controls the passage of play in midfield. Ben Arfa has not demonstrated one star quality that should mean he is considered as a star player ahead of those five. The latter two have performed sporadically this season.

I would say that's true, but only in disparate patches. A lot of the early games we had really good spells and capitalised on them well, but watch that first half vs Fulham. Watch the second half vs Wolves. Sunderland first half. Wigan first half. We won all those games, so it wasn't addressed (or even allowed to be recognised by the "but we're still unbeaten therefore you can't complain" sections). I understand you can't exploit opposition weaknesses all game long, and that if you have a lead there's a time to not go as gung-ho going forward - but just in terms of general possession - we were outplayed in games we won for significant stretches of those matches IMO. I'm not arguing we dominated the games in question, more that there was a form of attacking game plan as opposed to the current trash we're serving up. We kept the ball, we at least tried to use the wide players and Ba got the ball at his feet (so much so he played a deeper role in a lot of games). Now we're simply playing to contain it would seem. Cabaye is playing too deep, the wide players are having to come narrow to receive the ball, so when we do get it there's nothing on and we're resorting to pinging it at Ba's head, desperately hoping he makes something out of it.
-
There's a bit of history re-writing going on there like. Earlier on in the season we set up to exploit teams weaknesses as well as nullify their strengths, we've seemingly restored to soley attempting the latter now. We played some good stuff in a lot of those games too.
-
Shows what a bit of confidence and a decent game plan can do, or a lack of in our case.
-
Good to see Barry busting a gut once Ji gets clear.
-
They dominated the game, lack of cutting edge cost them.

Fucking hate O'Neil.

He's a mile offside there like.

I'd drop Obertan before I even considered dropping Jonas. I'd like to see Gutierrez on the right, personally. Could be wrong, but believe that is where he used to play for Mallorca...
