Oh Gary, what a prat.

You think? Gave Carson no chance.

Meite's got a better finish on him than Ranger.

You spout a rididculous amount of s*** it has to be said. The rules state the linesman has to be 100% sure to give the goal. It's certain from his positioning and the way he took his time awarding the goal that he was not 100% sure so he basically altered the rules and went on a hunch. And it has to be said you spout as much s***. If it was at the other end, you'd have been on this forum defending the linesman all the way. Your bias means you can't see it though. He nodded his head straight afterwards to indicate that it crossed the line - he didn't 'take his time' at all. Just because he wasn't waving his flag around like a lunatic didn't mean that he wasn't sure. And the rules don't state "the linesman has to be 100% sure" - he has to make a decision and with everything presented to him, he made that decision. And 99/100 linesmen would make the same decision IMO. I'd certainly have given the goal. It's a real shame he isn't robo-cop and couldn't tell that an inch of the ball was still of the line, but hey that's life. Got to feel for him really, it's batshit crazy we don't have goal line technology in this day an age.

Had Reading, Forest, Southampton and Hannover, the dream's over. -

Already claimed it at half time, but a special mention to Di Maria, pretty sure the wind blew him over a couple of times.

Revert to type? You can't watch many Barca games. Tonight they were horrible, but to call it a regular occurance is daft.

The pair of them should be ashamed of themselves, horrible, play acting, diving bastards. At least the better, more positive side won.
-
Mourinho's probably having a cheeky tug somewhere, they've got under Barca's skin and he knows it.
-
Unsure how anyone can criticise either team in particular when the pair of them have been acting like pair of knackers. If I had to give someone a prize though, Di Maria deserves cunt of the match so far.

I'm actually stunned, such an inept performance from a semi-finalist of the most prestigious club tournament in the world. The defence has been cut apart at will, the midfield have sat deep and given it away on the rare occasions they've had possession, and as a consequence the forwards have been spectators. Unsure what the manager's playing at too, they've desperately needed an extra body in the middle of the park for the entirety of the game, pathetic.

Schalke have been f***ing s****.

The Riverside is pretty fucking grim like, sets the tone for the entire town really.

A joke? Don't be daft. I'd go along with the theme in this thread that his own stubbornness is costing him though. On a purely superficial level they need a few finished articles that will make them more direct as an outfit. They have too many players in the mold of Nasri, Rosicky, Eboue, Denilson and Arshavin, the floating attacker who looks pleasing on the eye but produce little in terms of substance, Nasri aside perhaps. That's before you start poking holes in goal keeping deficiencies and the like. Then you've got the psychological element. Ferguson and Mourinho are masters of the 'world is against us' psychology, Wenger isn't. His players lack the winning menatlity combined with his constant whinging and moaning are an unhealthy combination. The bloke needs to stop gobbing on about refereeing decisions and start addressing the psychological weakness of his squad because at the minute they're never more than half a season away from implosion.

Bit of daft today. All the 'home bankers' are shocking odds so gone for a few I think will win comfortably: Norwich -1 Reading -1 Huddersfield -1 Southampton -1 -
