The fact that people with no connection to Barcelona have became "fans" makes it somewhat amusing when their whole sense of reality is shattered.
I find it diffiuclt not to admire their style of play, fantastic to watch.
Whoever he is, he'd be a welcome additon. In fact, we'd better change the formation just to make him feel welcome.
It might have consequnces for the team spirit though, you can't be bringing in these quality players with a controversial past.
When the alternative is going into the season with a 22 year old and a 35 year old with diminishing reflexes and the kicking ability of a spastic I know what I'd prefer.
Come to think of it, a forward pack of Elmander, Shola, Best and Lovenkrands doesn't fill me with confidence either. We need to spend some serious dosh.
Even if we were to sign two first choice forwards, Shola and Best have shown they're always weeks away from some form of injury breakdown so I'd keep hold of Lovenkrands for the time being. I'd loan Ranger out, possibly flog him if a decent bid comes in.
Eh? He's played nearly half our games this season hasn't he?
It's not like people are writing him off. He's 22. I'm pleased with what I'm seeing, even if it doesn't live up to the jizztastic expectations of Palermo. Just needs some more experience under his belt. Like Keef, wouldnt' be best pleased if he's first choice between the sticks in 6 months' time.
Even if it was a straight choice between him and grampa Steve?
