  1. That's blown my mind Thought he was around 50 Solid paper round for him
  2. What? That can't be right
  3. I'd be surprised if we need another 20 points, think it will take less to stay up
  4. Yeah, just heard Keown say the ref was pedantic but I agree with you, I have no issue with the decision
  5. On the subject of who plays I'd definitely start Bruno, wouldn't be dropping Fraser as him and Trippier have a decent little partnership going You can make a case for any one of Shelvey/Joelinton/Willock missing out
  6. Surely not, I'm sure not long ago they convinced themselves that they'd rather be owned by KLD and his "billions" and keep their "classy morals" instead of our bloody money
  7. Yeah, the sooner City wrap up the league title the better
  8. I think he could work as part of a midfield 3 if we had say Bruno/Joelinton as the two behind him, so we would have to play as a 4-2-3-1 however I don't see Howe changing to that, certainly not for him There is definitely a player there, we say that under Rafa but a combination of being fairly rigid in terms of position and being Bruce'd has set him back massively Ultimately if we stay up then we need to be looking to upgrade everywhere on the pitch except for Bruno, ASM and Trippier
  9. Whilst I see the appeal in that if Spurs don't make top 4 then I think it will mean Man-U do and I'd much rather see Man-U/Ronaldo finish in a Europa League spot
  10. ASM is superb, he will frustrate but players that try things will do that. When I say frustrate I mean frustrate some people, personally I have no issues with him and his approach Take the match yesterday for example and the following stats ASM, 10 dribbles completed from 13 attempted with 5 chances created Fraser, 0 dribbles completed from 0 attempted with 0 chances created (Btw I'm not having a go at Fraser as he played well and scored) With ASM because of the way he plays and he tries things from an attacking sense he will get things wrong, Messi loses the ball more than most but you have to accept that is inevitable. It's similar to the grief Ben Arfa used to get, meanwhile Obertan/Gouffran would run to the full back and then pass it backwards, they didn't lose the ball and in the eyes of some doylems they were "better" to have in the team
  11. Yeah, I mentioned that earlier as it's something I immediately noticed too Lascelles had head in hands, Targett and Schar were on the floor feeling sorry for themselves whereas Trippier immediately grabbed the ball and then got the pair of them up
  12. But the joke is on us, they still have their classy morals
  13. https://www.nufc.co.uk/nufc-tv/latest-videos/fraser-the-fans-got-us-through-it/
  14. Aye, even saying whilst they might not train as such they'll have the analysts in An alien concept to Bruce
  15. He's brilliant, levels above what we have had there for years Also, it may seem like a small thing but to me it says a lot but when we conceded look at his reaction compared to the others, he was the first to get the ball and get the players that were on the line moving again That's the attitude we need and I understand why Howe won't make the change but Trippier is effectively the captain, it's so clear
  16. I thought he should have started Bruno but ultimately his decision was correct I'm delighted for him, it was clear to me there had been improvements (subtle ones admittedly) but it was embarrassing seeing people talking about binning him off and that he was no better than Bruce, so I'm glad he's silenced those people up for now
  17. It would be criminal to not start him I see no justification for not starting him
  18. Aye, it's worth watching for him alone
  19. That's how I understand it to be So he'll set up the scouting/recruitment and they'll report into him but as explained in that interview shared earlier he was responsible for 6 areas which is the men and womens first team, the academy, medical/sports science, loans as well as recruitment. I would expect it to be a similar set up here and he'll report to a CEO (for which the club is recruiting)
  20. Exactly, recruitment is just one aspect and tbf we already seem to be doing a decent job of identifying good players, obviously league position/January made it challenging to sign them In that video shared earlier he talks about 6 things he's responsible for, that's the stuff that we need and it needs to be joined up, all throughout the club
  21. Signings are just one aspect of his role, the rest of the role is what is key here. The reality is for about a decade or so Lee Charnley ran this club, that's it. You had him and then a manager, with some recruitment people too. For me the structure and having joined up thinking is what I'm more interested in and excited about. That's what will transform us as a club.
  22. We could sign prime Messi and Ronaldo and RTG will spin it as shit signings
  23. Really happy with this impending appointment. We haven't been a normal club for so long so others might thing it's an odd reaction but it's class to see us being ran like a proper club I know some people wanted this to happen back in October but if the owners identified Ashworth as the key man and it meant waiting a few months then I'm glad they did that. Decisions such as this as well as the CEO are to build a platform for this club to benefit us for decades so it's better to take your time and get right than to panic and balls it up.
  24. Salah doing a Ronaldo, pathetic
  25. Terrible penalty that, advantage Senegal Mane to win it
