  1. Which journalist said our transfer window will be transformative?

Well of course in the scenario you presented give me the first option, however that's a very positive spin you are putting on things If the club said we don't have the money and we have to hang fire I would be totally cool with it However, we know the money is there, I just massively disagree that ONLY Marc Guehi is the solution, something or someone is utterly messed up if that's the case. Firstly I don't think he's at that elite level and secondly a club that operates on the basis of only having one target is a badly run club What if Guehi was to get injured today, do we just cease existing as a club? If the money is there and we have failed to buy in an area we need players it's simply negligence, as to who is responsible that I can't say so I'd rather just be critical of the window instead of anyone specific

I find it hard to believe a manager would be so stubborn to say he only wants X player and no one else Why would he rather go into a season where his 5th choice CB is currently starting games?

I'm considered a happy clapper by my mates because I've always defended the club and Howe (still do defend him) However, there's not a chance I can defend this window, it's farcical It would have been quite average even if we managed to sign Guehi but not signing him and an RW is ridiculous I'll quickly get over it and still think we have plenty to be optimistic about but anyone describing this window as anything other than a farce has to be a sarnie short of a picnic

Should have walked away ages ago, price we offered was already too much imo Hopefully we have alternatives lined up, would be quite farcical if we end up without making a signing
  6. Terrible and gives the ball away constantly is a mad one He completed 61 out of 67 passes, some of the ones I recall him not completing were attack minded passes which are riskier but worth doing Defensively he is raw but don't recall any major howler from him
  7. Was delighted with his performance, thought he'd be a bit rusty but not at all No doubt the match fitness will take time to build up but excited to see what a fully motivated Tonali will be like Also, see that and his reaction has made a fool of anyone that questioned how the club/Howe handled the situation. It was handled perfectly and we now have a player that will give his absolute maximum
  8. This has been caused by UEFA really from what I can see Not sure why, Matchday 1 for CL and Europa League takes place a week apart Matchday 2 and onwards reverts back to normal, with CL on Tue/Wed and Europa League on Thursday, which is why moving forward it's not an issue Even though it's shite and I was not happy with it (still feels wrong), looking into it more I understand the solution the EFL came up with There really isn't anywhere to squeeze the games in if a CL side got drawn against a Europa League side Thpugh unless I'm missing something what I don't understand is why they didn't draw the Carabao Cup in a way where they just kept the CL and Europa League sides apart? I understand why Liverpool drawing Spurs would be a problem but Liverpool drawing City wouldn't be an issue

The price has already gone way beyond what I think he's worth Even if the deal ends up happening I'm not sure he'll ever reach a level to make it a really successful signing Ultimately at this stage for it to just be an acceptable window we need a CB, for it to be a good window we need both a CB and RW

As things stand it's been a shit window 3 more days to see if that changes
  11. If he's so shit with his feet I do wonder why Liverpool are signing him
  12. Whilst I accept the red line is on the edge there's not a chance I'm accepting only that blue line is where contact was made, it's a ball not a toblerone
  13. I didn't draw it but can ask the person that did to move it further up if it helps?
  14. Even if you move the line further up it's still below his armpit
  15. Actually, I typed this without thinking I meant buying him but immediately loaning him back to Burnley wouldn't be a bad deal as last season he looked very raw, needs minutes but getting a young keeper in is needed
  16. Loan with an option/obligation is not a bad deal But if we do this and don't bother with a RW then it's a bit ludicrous
  17. The red line is clearly way below his armpit, not sure how that isn't conclusive to some
  18. I think people are reading too much into his performances, don't think it has anything to do with him wanting to leave but he just doesn't look match fit Which is understandable considering he barely had a pre season
  19. Not just you Initially I was thinking red card but this angle is probably what saves him as the arm is down rather than across the throat
  20. I do agree he's unlucky because I'm not a fan of the handball law in relation to goals scored They improved it by changing it to only if it hits the goalscorers arm do they disallow it but they need to go one step further and change it to deliberate handball
  21. I think the footage is clear, it shows the ball has hit him below the armpit
  22. My initial thought was that it's fine and a bad decision to disallow it, that's because for some reason I assumed the line for handball was basically the bottom of the sleeve (no idea why I thought this) However having seen the guidance show that it's much further up, basically anything below the armpit is handball then it's clear cut that it was handball and the correct decision to disallow it What's strange is how some of the pundits are doubling down and trying to still claim it was a shocking decision
  23. The fan swearing at Maupay, gets some back and he proper loses it Nowt worse than fans that give stick but can't take it when it's returned
  24. Surely they can still decide later on it's a red? Unlikely, since it would be an admission that not only did the ref get it wrong, so did VAR As it happens I think based one on angle he looked fortunate but based on another angle I think yellow was the correct decision
