A moment of madness. We've all made the same mistake. Aye. Shame as for all I think he's shit he'd been ok until then.

Very frustrating game. A few too many "off days" on show unfortunately, but I'm pleased we came away with a point. Just wish we could have* buried at least one of those other chances. *I typed 'of' at first.

Nerve-wracking as owt was that day. I can remember Dabizas getting away with a blatant handball after we'd gone 1 ahead. Did Shearer get them both that day - first one was a pen wasn't it? I know it was 2-0 aet... Can't remember anything about that match (well apart from that goal) but after reading this I can now remember, watching it at home and, the handball being clear as day. Think Dabizas's handball was at 0-0, then Sol Campbell did exact same thing and we got pen. I was in the upper tier at the side, whole crowd jumping up and down chanting 'Ruud Gullit' and could actually feel it bouncing, remember Shearer commenting on it. You were obviously one of the chaps I was looking up at... Can't remember f*** all of that game, was that the semi with the goal of the season or was that Sheff U? Sheff U was 1-0, shearer bundled it in, spurs 2-0 was the screamer i think He got both in the Spurs semi though right? Aye. I've generally got a s*** memory for football but that Spurs semi is one game that really sticks in my mind for some reason. for the atmosphere. mundane till ferguson came on (we should've had a pen for the incident that cause the break in play for him to come on and no fucker seemed to realise) then our lot kicke doff noise wise. My main memory is my mate changing from her Newcastle shirt to an England shirt as she spilled a drink everywhere. We immediately scored when she came back into the room. For about 2 seasons after that neither of us wore anything with the Newcastle crest on a matchday.

My positive senses are tingling.

Shearer's first was definitely a pen.

What are you, the thought police?

Oh shit, aye. Totally forgot about that. Half the street was crammed into my mate's bedroom and we utterly destroyed the place when he scored that goal. Maric.

First away game was Sunderland in 2003 when Solano scored a penalty. I was in the home end though. First away game in with our lot was Villa the following season (0-0).

I've just been sick in my mouth.

To celebrate I'm going to stomp around the office Tiote-style for the rest of the afternoon.

I fucking well hope so. Same here. Got a Christening at 11.30am that morning. Not that I like Christenings, but I've already said I'll go. -
I'm not 100% sure and my dad can't remember either but I think it was: 29.08.1993 Blackburn Rovers home D1-1 I'm not sure why but I have a feeling it was Blackburn and it was 1-0 or 1-1 and this is the result from around the time it would've been which matches best. I got a load of NUFC gear for my birthday (June) as I was just getting into football then and my dad pounced on the opportunity. All I remember is the noise was incredible (Leazes end) and that alone made me so excited/nervous I jumped up and down and squealed for ages. Also I'd not long started wearing glasses and we forgot to take them so I couldn't see a thing.

No doubt. I love orange.

That as orange and navy blue would be good. That's what it was. I should be a kit designer.

I had a dream they released a version of this: http://cdn.tribesportsshopping.co.uk/products/images/000/008/255/show/newcastle-united-1984-away-shirt.jpg but instead of grey it was orange. Gutted when I woke up and it didn't exist.

I'm sure I have a different answer for this every time it's asked - which is a good thing really. Currently it's 3-2 against Barca, one of the earliest games I went to where I truly appreciated the amazing atmosphere. I'd been to plenty of others before then but nothing quite so special.

Agree a nice spot of revenge would go down well. I'm at a work do afterwards so can't be doing with being in a foul mood.

Very pleased with the result & clean sheet, honestly didn't think we'd pull it off. Also pleased Lovenkrands shut me up after I'd groaned a matter of minutes previously about him starting.
