Surely looking objectively would be watching their games and judging them on their performances rather than their squad on paper? If you look at their squad only Adam is arguably Premier League quality, however they've played well this season, and are certainly a better team than the likes of West Ham. I agree that they will do what Hull did and slide towards the end of the season though.

Yeah, I'd go back to Plan A and bring Routledge on, Barton inside, Nolan forward and....... take Carroll off. Shola's that bit better at holding the ball up. Simpson has done okay defensively, but doesn't look remotely confident going forward. Not much to choose between him and Perch I'm afraid. I think we'll lose if we do that, Carroll has done so much more than Shola in the first half. Taking into account Nolan probably won't go off, for me it's a straight swap. Barton off, Routledge on. I think Nolan has played well on top of his goal. Keeping possession and seeing far more of the ball than he normally does. Still getting outpaced by their midfield though.
