Villa have GD which puts them a point down on everybody else basically and they've played two games more than us. I think the way of looking at it is if we finish below them we're not getting top 5 anyway.
-
Forest will definitely finish with more than 67 points IMO. I know what you mean about riding their luck but they've done it all season - it's not going to stop now.
-
Yeah I thought they were really good second half TBF to them. Murillo is their best player by a mile.
-
Forest are turgid every time I see them like. I'm astonished they are in the position they're in.
-
Draw or Forest win would be great, but I fancy Villa here
-
Fylde the only club to win both the Vase and Trophy I think, so chance for them to match that

Hell of an effort tbf

Palace could still lose this here

It's just not a handball though because he's a goalkeeper in his box. The passback rule was brought in to prevent time wasting and improve the flow of the game. The punishment for it has always been an indirect free kick, I don't understand why you think the goalkeeper should be charged with a handball punishment.
-
Yeah that's what I'm saying.
-
Not really, no? It's no different to it he picks it up from a passback. You wouldn't get a red card for that. It's exactly the same thing. Passback not a handball.
-
Surely it can't be a handball as a goalkeeper? It's a passback, not a handball.
-
He did save three against Palace in the shootout a couple of year ago - seems to be add odds with his general record otherwise.
-
Was a cult hero, now firmly a club legend for me. Will be a shame if his inevitable decline is exposed too much - hopefully he can become a squad player going forward.

It's a trigger for an extra year isn't it if we want to, same as we've done for Longstaff. I do think there's a chance we do - even if we want to sell to Saudi for a couple of million...

He captains England at that age level

I thought Brentford looked a very well coached outfit who made it difficult for us but also think they didn't really look like scoring outside of winning penalties. Classic laptop side filling up the PL.

Did Iraola run out of PEDs or something? Some drop off they've had. -
8 minutes just standard now I guess

Obviously not representative of all but Brentford fans on their forum saying they would be embarrassed to have a bus parade if they won the League Cup -
Because ultimately their model requires selling. They were nearly burnt with Toney and asking for too much, ultimately risking losing him for nowt. They got away with it as Saudi bailed them out with a solid fee once his market had collapsed. If they don't sell this summer he will be down to 1 year next year (with club option triggered). I think 40-50 will do it given this is a player they bought for 6.5 million euros.

That's a good point TBF.

For me Delap would basically be a luxury signing for the price given other positions we need to fill. I also personally doubt we could convince him to sign over other options he will have when Isak is in front of him - unless there is a guarantee we sell Isak after a year. I can't see how we sign him and also fill GK/RW/RCB with the requisite quality. That said I think he'd be a great buy in isolation if we did make that move.

Tend to agree. Location doesn't just attract players, but it attracts ownership groups in the first place. Don't get me wrong you can't really begrudge clubs being well ran but it does make the league a bit boring. The same imbalance is happening in Italy (although the north/South divide is flipped). Small northern teams like Como, Venezia, Monza being bought out because of their location and cultural cache while bigger clubs in poorer regions flounder.
