  1. Whingey fucker is Tuchel. I guess that's the reason they're sitting 4th in the Bundesliga behind behind two tinpot corporate clubs as well. Can't just accept that they were beaten by a good side.
  2. I'd like to think it's probably just a bit of pyro nd that which has gotten out of hand.
  3. No. Most are saying he is hurt, but nothing serious. Just broken glass.
  4. My German aint perfect but that tweet says players are OK as far as I can tell.
  5. Looks like those unsure which to watch might have their decision made.
  6. This is simply not true, their squad actually reached a low point about 5 years ago, after the sales of Nasri, Fabregas. The season where they were regularly fielding the likes of Andre Santos, Squillaci, Djourou, Gervinho, Chamakh etc, scraped 4th place and then culminated finally with the sale of van Persie in 2013 - the last time they sold a key player. In the intervening 5 years, they have strengthened and improved by spending significant amounts of money. There is no doubt that the likes of Sanchez, Ozil are a level of signing above and beyond the previous years and it has resulted in 2 FA cup wins and 2nd place last season. This season is a monumental collapse, and probably should signal the end of Wenger's time at Arsenal, but to say it's been a gradual decline over the last 5 years is not true.
  7. Could name literally hundreds of managers around the planet who have done stints in minor leagues and as international managers. It doesn't necessarily make them candidates for PL jobs. Bradley got his on a whim of Yankee nepotism.
  8. Wasn't he hired by an American with a history of MLS ownership? I'm not completely aware of their situation, but it's clear he got his job more on his nationality and time as US manager than whatever he did in Norway. Swansea should have stuck with Guidolin.
  9. 11 games wasn't a lot but they looked hopeless during his time in charge.
  10. Han Kwang-Song scored for Cagliari today, becoming the first North Korean to score in Serie A, and I'd imagine in any of the big European leagues.
  11. We are one of the worst countries for it. In terms of the developed world I'd agree 100%
  12. That litter thing is fucking rank. Mind, the country is full of obnoxious, lazy cunts who don't want to put their rubbish in a bin.
  13. I think people really underestimate and overlook the joke that our left hand side is, tbh. We've basically been playing without a left winger all season FFS.
  14. I completely disagree that he wasn't a deciding factor. He was the best winger in the league, and he joined a team that didn't at the time have a right-sided player to speak of. In the process his signing gave us two wide players, and allowed us to also relegate our weakest player (Smith) to the bench in favour of playing Guthrie in his best position. The fact is in 2009/10 we actually suffered from many of the same issues we have done this season. Notable weak spots in the starting XI, square pegs in round holes of the chosen system, which resulted in some extremely shitty and attritional football particularly away from home in order to grind out results. If we had been able to sign players to relegate Gouffran and Colback out of the starting line-up, and re-balance the side along with an injection of quality, it would have resulted in a far more comfortable second half of the season. Similarly to Hughton in 09/10, Rafa would probably have then been a lot more confident in thinking we had enough to outplay the opposition, rather than needing to compensate our weaknesses and grind out results.
  15. I don't necessarily think the football this season has been great (leaving aside the control argument), but I sometimes wonder what people expected. Even decent Premier League teams don't batter Championship teams when they meet in cup competitions and certainly very few teams in the Championship have seasons where they wipe the floor with other teams each week - it just doesn't happen and didn't happen in 09/10. By this time in 09/10 we were absolutely rampant tbh, at home anyway. We kicked on towards the end pretty much thanks to the signing of Routledge, tbf.
  16. Shades of Alberto Gilardinho at his best.
