  1. Abeid to Ben Arfa against Blackburn.
  2. Spurs are the epitome of being a squad more than a team, like. More than any other team in the league imo, they have two great or very good quality players for every position, except for Sissoko who obviously cost them £30m I dunno about that, to be honest. The fullback positions certainly, and Dier can cover a lot of places, but actually they lack depth at striker, CB and out wide. I'd argue that they're more of a fantastic functioning team than having great strength in depth.
  3. Pace & finishing ability are too pretty big tools he's missing, based on what we've seen so far in a Newcastle shirt. This is true. And while his finishing could improve he's not gonna suddenly become a mover.
  4. Diego Costa was re-signed by Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2010, Carroll was sold in January 2011. Something amiss with that story.
  5. We all know this, the point is it likely wouldnt have an effect, and done legit- ( I know theres ways) the potential ££s is massive iyam. I believe it would definitely have an effect. The degree to which could be disputed, and would depend on how it was implemented.
  6. As is explained every time this comes up, it doesn't exist in this country as a means to protect attendances.
  7. In the league away from home I've seen a 0-6, 0-1, 0-2, 1-2, 1-2 and a 0-2. 6 wins from 6, 15 goals, 2 conceded Tempered a bit by the Oxford and Hull debacles like, but still, going to games this year has genuinely been rewarding if not always blisteringly exciting.
  8. They could be struggling but they could just as easily be pushing for play-offs to be honest. It's hard to really say and seems to be a bit of a crapshoot for relegated sides. Last time they went down with 15 points and then came back up as Champions. Another relegation is statistically unlikely - only happened 3% of the time to relegated teams to go down again.
  9. Madrid and Barca winning the CL every year without even having actual managers these days. Just send them out and win. Reckon an N-O coaching collective could take this Madrid side to the trophy.
  10. No idea how you can find this boring tbh. Been a very good game, so many good players out there. It's boring to me cuz they've played each other about 20 times in the last 3 years.
  11. If it wasn't us, I would much rather watch the relegation battle than a battle for the Championship title. Especially with some big clubs down there.
  12. Any chance of this being on foreign muck telly
  13. Ndong wasn't a bad punt. They needed to spend money on a midfielder who could offer physical and technical qualities they don't have. They got ripped off and he's looked a bit lost, but if he'd came off and performed it'd have given them more of a chance of staying up. The other signings he's made have been poorer, signing a load of ex Man Utd and Everton plodders and crocks that he 'trusts'. Compare that to how Silva utilised the European and UK loan market to make them a much better side.
  14. The biggest problem with Moyes has not been his signings (they've been bad, though) but his overall pervasive negativity. I have been convinced they'd go down all season, as he has never once looked like stirring or inspiring either a footballing change or a siege mentality. Every press conference is depressing, every quote is defeatist, and his players play like that's how he's coaching them on the training ground as well. His performance compared to Silva and Allardyce this season shows he really is done as a top flight manager.
  15. Delightful pass to put Cisse through in Lisbon, for him to hit the post, before half the away end had even realised the 2nd half had started again.
  16. Looking at the teams left, selfishly I'd rather have Fulham and Reading as I've yet to tick those grounds off. Clearly Leeds or Sheffield Wednesday would be far better for the PL though.
  17. Reckon we might be treated to Sammy Ameobi's legs skittling around the Cardiff City stadium.
  18. Mannone is worth a couple of million at most. I'd imagine he'll be their #1 next season. I can see Allardyce going in for Kone as he played well under him.
  19. Was decent for Atalanta. Not watched him much this season as i've actively avoided Boro games.
