[FAC3R] Newcastle United vs. Bournemouth: 10/1/26 @ 15:00 (No UK TV)

Mine have gone from the 404 error to now saying they've been cancelled -
I'd imagine your only bets are games on artificial surfaces - Consett Vs Grimsby Borough, Stockton Vs Prescott Cables, Boro Rangers Vs Easington

Great fun this game

Very annoying that we have a PL team rather than some lower league side -

Joelinton picking up the chair -
Yeah that is spot on. He's just far too static (right now). It's compounded by the fact that we don't have many technical players who would naturally want to play intricate little passes into him in the centre. Our wingers want pace in behind, and direct running of the channels. Our midfield relies on the physical chaos of the transitions. He's such a bad fit for the team as it's currently set up, that it feels more and more like a panic buy we were pushed into as we had to sign somebody and it had to be a statement replacement. I hope both he and we can adapt as he's seemingly a lovely lad.

Hopefully. That's a ground I still need to do.

Maybe compared to SBR, but Eddie started from a lower bar. You have to take any level of investment etc in context of the time and the opposition. We were one of the big spenders in the 90s and broke world transfer records, at a time when the PL was much poorer than it is now. By comparison Eddie has only had the same if not less spending power than all the other big clubs, and our wage bill remains probably only about the 7th/8th biggest in the league.

I think Eddie winning a cup puts him #1 personally.

The way the team plays basically relies on what he offers to set the tempo and physicality. We've looked much better with him back in the team and on form. It's a massive catch 22 as we know he also has clear weaknesses on the ball as a midfielder that often compound our ability to retain controlled possession.

Hard to believe we've been as shite as we've been this season and are now 6th, 2 points off fourth. Then again I also kinda feel like Villa have been a bit rubbish yet are flying. It's a very weird season.

What a wild game. Massive shades of the 4-3 against West Ham, or Norwich in the Championship. -

Ouch. That could be the end of his career here if it's as bad as it looks. -

DCL would actually have been a better fit for Eddie Howe team than Woltemade -

Got to say I think Thiaw flicks his arm towards the ball -
Don't think Woltemade is anything like Chris Wood mind. Although I'd agree both are equally unsuited to our team as currently set up.
-
I still think Gordon is our best winger and has been such this season. None of them have really shown enough in general play, Barnes included.

That stadium might have given West Ham a financial leg up and has allowed them to progress in the PL, but it was always likely to suck them down once they slipped up and landed with a poor side devoid of confidence. You can't see how they can build the fortress atmosphere to get the points when every home game feels like a neutral fixture.

He was undoubtedly one of the worst managers I've ever seen in the PL. The only shock is it took this long to sack him.

The midfield struggles to get a hold of the ball in midfield and control a game. We rely on Joelinton's physicality to get a foothold and he always helps - but it is also a weakness given his limited ability on the ball. It's a big catch 22.
