Hitting the post or bar counts as off-target. Can anyone remember the mass argument on GSS about this? Got really heated, the initial argument lasted about 10mins with Stelling trying to move it on but couldn't, then it was mentioned for about 6 months after. Was a totally different panel, when they used to chop and change all the time. Can't believe there's ever even a debate. The idea of an on-target shot is that it was going in before it was intercepted by a defender or the goalkeeper. Just because hitting the woodwork seems like a big chance or whatever doesn't mean that it's on-target.

I have to say, some of the views on this forum are crazy if they don't think Keane would be a positive signing! Damien Duff was a positive signing at the time, doesn't always work out. But yeah I'd take him if it was on a loan, scores goals.

We've done well this window despite spending fuck-all, so they've done really well actually. All hinged on the Ben Arfa transfer mind - if all the posturing resulted in another club picking him up then we'd have most probably signed somebody crap instead. I still hate them though and don't know if I'll ever trust them fully. We'll see about that when we actually start progressing as a football club compared to the point when Ashley arrived.
