That's a good shout cos then you get 150 members in group 1 ( everyone paying £10), 30 members in group 2 ( everyone paying £50), etc. You pay more, you get more of a say. I'd definitely have an interest, but would probably only contribute a small amount due to perennial skintness.

Didn't that Ed Harrison guy get a column for a Sunday tabloid? May have been a one-off.

Dario Gradi's said he'd take him on in a coaching capacity for Crewe if that's what he wanted to get into. http://www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk/sport/Crewe-Alex-Gradi-ready-help-protege-Ashton/article-1501634-detail/article.html

Basically, its being ran in two stages, the first is to raise an amount which is seen as a sensible "proof of intent" then we will sit down with MA, do due diligence and agree a price. We will not be held to ransom over this, what will be paid is a fair price for the club depending on its current financial state etc. You're right though it would be far too easy for us to raise £200m and shout about it just to then have Ashley say "the price is £200m take it or leave it". If that happened then we'd leave it, buying the club for over the odds would just mean we'd all be screwed in the long term, ideal scenario is we leave the money sitting there until he sees sense but otherwise we hand everyone their money back and give up. All we've lost is 5% of our deposits so on a £1500 investment that would be £7.50. Thats a gamble Im willing to take. We raise enough to prove we're serious, talk to him, agree a price, raise that, buy the club and then pull in the rest. Obviously we'll already have an understanding from those that have shown an interest as to just how much in total we will have but nobody other than those directly involved would know that. Do we REALLY want more people who are bad with numbers running our club? NUST OUT! I typed a similar message but deleted it sharpish - he means 5% of £150 (the initial deposit) I think.

Carsley speaks. Carsley should shut up and not make such stupid tackles. His bad decision put the referee in the position to fall N'Gog's dive. Why does everyone spell "N'Gog" wrong btw? I've seen places like the BBC spell it "Ngog". Weird because you never see anyone write "Nzogbia" This talk of N'Zogbia totally reminded me of this post I saw on here before I even joined the forum that I found absolutely hilarious. Just found it, it was in the thread about N'Zogbia kicking off about the Insomnia stuff. Love how you've found that gem even though you weren't even here at the time. It was probably the main reason that I signed up. I've put it in my sig now with cubaricho's kind permission. Brilliant quote like.

Yeah, his brother as well aye. My mate lives in High Farm and has mentioned this a fair bit. Yeah ... moved to Tynemouth when he was 13 ... so my memory of him from primary school must have just been him coming to pick his sister up. His sister once bit me on the arm under the teacher's desk during a wet break when I tried to do something ... inappropriate. Did it Sting?

Harsh. Edit: in all seriousness, RIP. It's easy to forget that footballers are normal people and can be as vulnerable as anybody.

Just remembered: a friend of a friend put £40 on Gutierrez to score first goal on Saturday. He'd been having an argument with his mate about whether he was any good and put the bet on out of foolish bravado. He only got 12-1, so ended up getting about five hundred quid.

Fumaca. Doubtful whether he was even a professional footballer, but that never stopped Mourinho.
-
They have got fed up of me moaning about work. Fuck's sake.
-
Hugely off-topic but why the hell has the Pet Hates thread been locked? I just typed an absolutely epic post (in terms of quantity rather than quality) and it's fucking lost forever now.

at the tooth brusher, I was in hysterics just now.

You're absolutely right but he'll keep doing it because he'll keep getting away with it.

I heard a young lad/lass crying/moaning. That was about it. Same here, was a bit weird.

If the Chelsea fans boo & shout things do you reckon Roman will be a big baby & put the club up for sale? I think it all hinges on whether there's an @ involved really - everything seems to have calmed down round here since the sd.com@SJPS stuff was announced.
-
This has got to be the last straw for Chelsea fans.

I wouldn't take Allardyce back even now when we're at such a low ebb, I absolutely detest him.

Oh the poor wee lambs eh? Are they men or are the mice? They all know that the bad feeling is not towards them, it shouldn't affect them. So you reckon crossing the 'picket line' when they arrive on a Saturday lunchtime or performing to an empty stadium or having to play through round choruses o boos and anger and anti-Ashley chants will make them win every game? It might be alright at first but then they'll get more and more uncomfortable and soon most will want out, f***ing up our season well and truly. I dunno about you but some things are bigger than Ashley, and for me it's a return to the PL What a pile of s****. Is what I tend to think reading most of your posts. Johnny is right, why should we be causing more trouble. He won't change the name back, we haven't lost St James Park, it's kist edited slightly. The players clearly have been bothered by off field problems and they've stated as much in interviews about wanting clarity of manager and situation. By having a protest you achieve nothing more than disharmony. There's a time and a place to voice concerns and it's not now. So, when and where is this time and place? I'd imagine it'd be pretty difficult for you to protest from behind your monitor anyway. I've been at most of the home games this season you cretin. And I'm going Saturday, in fact, my seats will be closer so am da betta fan I'm learning I can't reason with your idiot logic. Blefescu; The time and place would be at the end of the season when we know where we stand be it promotion or not. We are doing well in the league with a small squad. So why rock the boat with protests? Uh huh, sure you have. My idiot logic? Try again when you can spell, construct a sentence, understand grammar, or finally figure out what the EU is. Oh, and I think those of us with a mind and sense of identity have got plenty of reasons to 'rock the boat'. Oh Dear, clutching at straws yet again. Can't think of a real argument so attempts to belittle me, and fails, again. Why don't you stick to wearing your horrendous barber jacket, do you have matching Jack Wills jogging bottoms? As Toontastic so rightly identified, your inability to construct a good argument, is only highlighted by daft comments that have no relation to what we are discussing. Tbf Kezman, you were doing a good job of occupying the higher ground by ridiculing him for bringing up your spelling and grammar. Then you started slagging off his dress sense!

Hopefully they'll make a canny whack off the film rights soon enough.

I only come back to Newcastle every 2-3 months when I can afford it and I'm up this weekend. I'm going to the match with a couple of my mates, one in particular will definitely not be keen on the protesting lark at all. I'm looking forward to catching up with my mates and that so I reckon I might meet everyone between 12 and 1, then pop along to St James at about 2.15 and see what the craic is. I'm all for stand-up protests, "Sports Direct is fucking shit" chants and the like, and will probably loiter around outside for a bit afterwards. I don't plan on bringing any weapons or anything.

So roll up, roll up & put your name to something that the MD of company trying to flog you the "@" is telling you nobody is going use.

2-1 was result of the century since it must've been 2 versus 11.
