  1. It's a bit of a pisser that we got relegated and it's been all downhill from there.
  2. Also Barcelona seem to have wanted rid of Eto'o for a little while now, with talk that he's a bit of a troublemaker. Inter don't want to sell Ibrahimovic necessarily, but still the fee is ridiculous.
  3. http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/user/?region=xxx&query=schedule&promoter=leytonfc&interface=orient We're in the East Stand. Ah excellent, thanks mate.
  4. I'd agree with you if you hadn't called him fucking Houghton. It's HUGHTON, H-U-G-H-T-O-N. I think it's more common to see it spelt Houghton than Hughton. Very odd.
  5. Surely the guy in the suit has a photoshopped head? If I played there btw I'd be looking to sort out a pact that meant not one player did that 'shirt over head' celebration all season. Like Gutierrez's pact that meant he'd never do the Spiderman celebration all season?
  6. Why can't humans hibernate on demand?
  7. Aha, if so I didn't realise. Still though, canny money.
  8. If that's true the 'fee' technically can't be far off what Ronaldo went for and presumably more than the Kaka transfer. I know it gets tricky with a player swap but Eto'o would have went for £20-25m and Hleb at least £5m despite how far his stock's fallen. That's a cracking deal for Inter that, Christ.
  9. Off-topic but didn't know where to post this. Teletext is being taken off TV, but I was equally intrigued by the picture they decided to use with the article. http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2009/jul/16/teletext-to-be-pulled-tv http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/861/teletext.jpg
  10. Think I'll go to this. I live 20 mins from central London on the train so should be no bother.
  11. Where the fuck did that come from? Agree with the sentiment though. It's the only news we've got mate.
  12. Nah you're right Dave - just saying it's a reflection on how fucked we are, not that we should act any different.
  13. I also hope they're fine, but unfortunately that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that if we carry on like this taking everything bad that is written about the club and not only believing it, but expanding and emphasising it ourselves we're not exactly helping the situation and that's the problem; no-one's been helping the situation for almost a year now and it's somewhat obviously got worse and worse because of that. Even the fans, who are supposed to genuinely care about the well being of the club and not only about themselves are now taking every opportunity to stick the knife in and give it a twist. That's pretty much the exact opposite of what fans are supposed to do; they're supposed to stick up for their club come what may and in the face of all evidence to the contrary, not the other way around. Like I said, it's fucking insane, the world has been turned on its head. Anyway, gotta go now. I agree in the sense that last season when I got stick at work I'd try to stick up for the club. Now I just say "aye we're a fucking joke and there's no getting away from it until Ashley's gone".

People saying Hughes won't stay beyond Christmas - a number of people including myself thought he'd be gone this summer. They've stuck with him this long and he ain't as bad as what people make out. Did a good job at Wales and Blackburn.

Dawn French wouldn't even get near their bench tbh.
  16. Calm down lads, he's just had a bad spell.
  17. From my POV, there's nothing particularly shocking in what he's saying, it's just it's rare (but totally refreshing) to see someone being so honest about it in public. And fair play to him, because everyone's thinking the same thing. Yeah you're right - it's more that he's broke the mould of footballer robot-speak, "Slow, painful death" is pretty emotive language for a footballer. Love the sexy Partridge pic by the way.
  18. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1199066/Owen-smiles-better-United-beams-Ferguson.html Glad the poor little fella seems to have found happiness at last.
  19. I can't recall ever believing a story less than I do that one. The Express can crash and burn for this business alone, hate those fuckers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunday_Express_Dunblane_controversy
  20. These SSN delaying tactics are clearly a ploy to keep Newcastle fans (and Mackems for that matter) hanging on.
  21. Haha, there's also a thread called 'scum match on the radio or net?' They're ill.
