Read an interview with Mata the other day where he said the long term goal of the project was for 1% to come out of every player's contract to go to charitable causes whether they liked it or not.

Why do we still seem to think other clubs will be in a hurry to do us a favour?

Lock every thread. Absolutely furious there are so many of the fuckers unlocked ffs.

Aye, Bilic was playing Hernandez on the wing wasn't he? Despite him clearly being a poacher who needed to be near goal. I'd rather we stayed clear of tiny strikers though tbh, it's getting harder and harder to accomodate them in the modern game.

So much bullshit over the course of 2 separate transfer windows for a player I'm not at all convinced we need Desperate for a GK/AM/ST and no real talk of any of them.

Around whatever Jaime Vardy is values at I guess. Nearer Kane than Vardy. Cole was a more well-rounded player with a much better goal scoring record. Cole was also 23 at the time, whereas Vardy's 30. Feel like Shearer = Kane, so Cole would be someone worth half a Shearer/Kane. No way, Cole was the hottest property in the league when we sold him. Just as valuable as Shearer. Yet cost less than half a Shearer. Not a fair comparison tbh, fees were accelerating pretty quickly at that time. Reckon Cole would have fetched 10 to 12 million in summer 1996, not as valuable as Shearer but certainly not half as valuable.

Really disappointing to read/hear this stuff about one of your heroes, regardless of whether there may have been whispers already. He's my favourite NUFC player ever, bar none. That won't change unless someone better plays for us, but still it's a shame.

West Ham paid £20m for Ayew 18 months ago tbf, think his value has decreased regardless of the inflated fees since then though. He's looked poor for West Ham versus how he looked for Swansea and is 28 now as well.

FA Cup 2017/18 - 4th round draw: Chelsea (a) - on BT @ 1:30pm 28/01/18
Interpolic replied to Disco's topic in Football
FA Cup gates are split 45% each and the away team has to agree to the pricing so Norwich don't miss out financially. Sorry, it occurred to me as I hit post that I was forgetting about something re gate revenue being split. Regardless of any of that, it would have made sense for Chelsea to have sold tickets to Norwich fans for the same price their fans paid. Any opportunity to give fans a break on costs should be taken up by clubs. -

I thought the same but nufc.com says Chelsea fans paid £15 to go to Carrow Road, so it is a bit shan to say the least. Means Chelsea are making £180k rather than £90k from Norwich fans for this fixture, which seems utterly pointless for a club like them when they could have returned the favour. -
People are having digs at Dave left, right and centre these days.

Would be a great move for Sterling like Going from top scorer for possibly the best English club side of all time to disappearing into Arsenal's fancy winger black hole.

Dave knows something.

Totally agree. Another sign of how weathered people are by Ashley that they're dying for us to risk going out. -

Heard about Lascelles, any news on whether they're amputating the right leg or the left leg?
