  1. I've got a really good feeling about him this season tbh, it might unravel after that but right now he looks hungry and has a point to prove. Again I sort of agree with the Waddle comparisons, he's a bit awkward and keeps his head down but he's a proper footballer.
  2. I think he looked mint. Direct as fuck and just what we're after.

  4. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/theres-no-point-expanding-part-9917561#ICID=FB-Chron-main Some laughable comments. So many of our lot really do support the balance sheet these days, and have some curious obsession with Ashley getting his money's worth.
  5. Yeah exactly, there's a balance to be had. Doesn't need to be first choice 11, but should be good enough to beat the opposition comfortably without any fuck-ups.
  6. Was an article in the Guardian the other day saying he'd be interested in the move, this summer but more likely next.
  7. Aye I think we should give most of those a game as well, we also need to cover ourselves with a few first team game changers on the bench. If it's an absolute joke of a team that's another story though.
  8. They've been prattling on about actually trying in the cups this year though, any piss taking and it will come back at them.
  9. They were the ponciest club going personnel-wise in the 90s as well, that and their fans started me off detesting them. They're a nothing club, or they should be.
  10. Will have less aerial duels there as well.
  11. Was that the one at the end? He nearly tore Colo's shirt off, man. It was a fair aerial duel. Will you stop going on about aerial duels man FFS
  12. Would have thought the same about bringing someone to the match tbf.
  13. Fucking hell, he was all over the place!
  14. Does that not contradict your argument though, there have been various examples down the years of English players that are more than technically adept and possessive of what tends to get called an outstanding "football brain". The likes of Hoddle, Gascoigne, Scholes, etc.
  15. Cole's one of the best strikers we ever had and Owen doesn't belong in that company IMO.
  16. You can't teach decision making to a footballer? Is it the magic ingredient that you just have or dont? Hello mr Pardew. You know what I mean, some players seem to have an instinct for it and some don't. Also don't ever call me Alan fucking Pardew ever again.
  17. Shola's penalty record is one of the most intriguing anomalies of recent times like.
  18. So clever on the ball and off it, almost always makes the right decision. You can't teach that. Love him.
  19. I see what you're saying, you'll always get people's back up phrasing things like that but I agree that it was good we didn't get smashed 5 or 6 nowt. Wouldn't have been my opinion if I'd travelled to the game mind.
  20. Obertan will presumably make way for Thauvin. Otherwise we have some nice options in attack for a change. Do find it frustrating with Aarons mind, he was fucked most of last season and he's fit now and not featuring. Every time he's played he's done well and shown he has an end product
  21. Wouldn't actually, oh wise one. Doubt you'd actually throw yourself under a bus for Mitrovic oh wiser one. I just mean it's a similar sort of emotion, the up and down of things. Aye you're catching on as I was clearly taking the piss with the Mitrovic thing. Re the 2 players you're on about I would be very disappointed if Perez left but it's not happening. Sissoko I could take or leave, I'm not arsed. I know he's one of our best but he's not my type of player.
