Felt really sorry for Stellini yesterday mind, even more so today. And Sarr. I'm not cut out for us being this good

Absolutely loved that pass, it never gets old watching it. The vision and the execution were superb. We should do some polls at the end of the season - best win, best goal, best assist etc. Best meme as well, all the nominations doubtless being Meme Machine Murphy.

That was the most scintillating 20 minutes I've ever seen a Newcastle team produce. That would probably have been the case if it was against a side bottom of the league, to do it in this context against rivals for a CL spot is just unthinkable. The only game that comes to mind as somewhat comparable is Cole's hatrick in 30 minutes against Liverpool in 93/94. That felt a huge deal at the time to people of my dad's age, with Liverpool's 70s and 80s dominance still fresh in the memory and us the newly promoted upstarts. Yesterday eclipsed even that though. Fans all over Europe must be looking at Howe's Newcastle with admiration at the moment, and even more so next season fingers crossed.

I'm the same place I was when we signed him. I still don't rate him particularly highly based on what I've seen, but hope and somewhat trust the people at the club knew what they were doing. The other ÂŁ30m+ players we've signed have been game-changing and it's probably not fair to expect that of Gordon yet. I'm still trying to work out what he's especially good at though, too often he just plays the safe ball imo. I do like his workrate off the ball.

Christ, it's very evident there's been no drama at the club for a while, the way some people have latched on to this. It's nowt.

Football's dead funny these days.

Man Utd chipping away at our goal difference advantage. Worrying. -
I've not seen any evidence yet that Potter knows how to play a system with an actual striker who scores goals, I guess we'll see in years to come whether it was just a quirk in his first few years but atm it seems very fucking weird

It's the football equivalent of a walk-off knockout. Cool AF.

Massively peeved at that lineup since Isak is my FF captain. Sometimes it seems like managers don't even care about that. I thought Eddie was different. -

You'd think the required total will be a bit less than average this year. No 1 or 2 sides marooned at the bottom dishing out points to everyone, our rivals all a bit flaky etc. Points are being distributed more evenly, or so it seems. I guess the top 2 not being as formidable as recent years might affect matters a touch, if they're dropping points our rivals pick up. -

Yeah he was quite patronising there, continuing the Man Utd tone from yesterday. "Longstaff and Willock are good players and they're good lads, but the Man Utd midfield shouldn't be getting overran by them". I'm happy with people continuing to underestimate us but it is annoying when professional pundits are that lazy yet speak with so much conviction about a subject they're clearly not on top of.
